in a market full of bloated games with even more bloated install sizes, this manages to be one of the most satisfying, rewarding, and unique content rich games I've ever played - and it's not even 4 GBs in size.
wtf kinda black magic is this?

mining, dwarves, beards, and beer. what more could you ask for in a game? oh, not to mention the endless fun, deep dives, many laughs, amazing soundtrack, and the ability to join pretty much anyone at anytime. i'm 800+ hours into the game and it hasn't gotten old to me at all. this community is the most chill that i've ever been apart of in my 20+ years of online gaming. i will cheers to that. rock and stone!

Love this game, takes me back to playing Fifa Street from back in the day! All you need is holographic goals and a light up football!
10/10 would recommend again

The best Co-op game I've ever played, lots of fun solo but Co-op is truly when this game shines the most.
Pros:
Least greedy dev team I've seen in this day and age, everything is free besides cosmetics which are purely optional and if you want to show a lil extra love for the devs.
All of the classes are super fun in their own way and all feel necessary for the team.
One of the most polished games I've played, no matter what you do in this game you can feel the love that the devs put into it. Every aspect of it is just pure satisfaction from sound effects to visuals. Not to say that this is one of the most beautiful games I've played because it isn't but the artstyle more than makes up for that.
The gameplay loop somehow hasn't gotten me tired of it even though at the time of this review I have over 400 hours in this game. The different biomes, mission types, warnings, anomalies and the procedural generation makes for endless amounts of fun.
Cons:
I've heard people say this game gets repetetive which I can understand and if that's the case the game just might not be for you.
The overclock grind a.k.a the endgame can be frustrating since you can only get 3 blanks, 3 weapon and 3 cosmetic overclocks every week(excluding promotion rewards). I would recommend save scumming if you don't see yourself putting in over hundreds of hours to get all of the overclocks you want.

Really fun. I literally only play with family and friends whenever they invite me. so like once every month. and i forget what to do every time because the time in between the sessions are so long. but its hella fun.

One of the best multiplayer experiences out there. And a game with based devs that actually care and put work into a game that they cared about. ROCK AND STONE 🗣️🔥🔥🔥

At first it felt repetitive, just mining rocks and killing bugs. The more I've played, the less repetitive it's felt. With many different biomes, mission types, and modifiers, there's always something new to try. With the deep dives aswell being a weekly seeded run, it really shows that DRG is a labour of love from the dev team.

I started by doing solo missions, just checking out the game and soon realized I wanted company.
I felt a bit intimidated about playing with randoms when not really knowing the game - and then I started hosting a public mission, so people can join if they choose to.
BEST. DECISION. EVER. No crying, no belittling, just ROCK 'N' STONE! ...and bugs. Hella lot of bugs

Addictive gameplay loop, dwarves, mining and squishing lots and lots of bugs, what's not to love?
Good game alone, better with others, even better with friends.
