I wanted to like this but from the get go it just didn't work for me. First things first. No mouse support. Yes, I know some indies fancy themselves as retro and stuff, but that's just plain annoying. This game would have worked 10 times better with mouselook. This plays into handling. In a game where you have to clean up stuff, a snake-like control set just doesn't work. it's awful. The stealth aspect also doesn't really work out. Levels devolve into running through line of sight aiming for the next hiding spot, where you can hide even if they were hot on your tails. Levels where you have to pick up several bodies and clean up loads of blood.. and you were seen a bit too far away from a hiding spot so you can't get to savety? yeah, you're caught - and gotta do all that again. No saving after every body or something, no, just replay the whole level. I know for some people, replaying the exact same thing over and over again is fun. I'm not one of those people. This is one of the games where I can clearly see early on how frustrating it's gonna get, and I rather go play something fun.

I really enjoyed the creative design of the levels, the character design, the art style and the controls were simple to get used to. I'm not great at stealth games so if that's not your jam, you may want to give this a pass because there will be a lot of moments of planning, improvising and using the environment to evade your enemies. The story going on in the background was exciting and had a lot of interesting references to the time period. Overall a very fun game with a lot of bonus content to keep it going.

If you're still wondering whether it's worth buying or not, think no further. The game is unique and enjoyable. It has enough content for a few hours of solid fun and offers just the right amount of challenge (though if you're someone with weaker nerves and patience, your keyboard may easily become collateral damage). A good strategy is your best friend here. 100% shouldn't be too hard to achieve if you spare a few more hours of your precious time in redoing missions. I haven't encountered any bugs during my playthrough so far, contrary to what I've seen people say. Overall, the game is great and worth trying, best when discounted.
