Pretty basic for an RTS. Not recommended.

i havent tried new update, there has been 2 in 2 days, but i will say there are some issues with the VR gameplay.. it is not quite refined. the game on the other hand is pretty good it seems. I think its rough around the edges right now but i feel really good about the dev. I believe this game is going to be really neat in due time... he is talking with players and addressing issues on regular basis so if you want to help shape the game, buy now. if you want it when it plays great, keep an eye on reviews and i will update when the game is ready.
*update- i would wait on this product for sure, its just to rough right now, ill update when its better
*8/27 update... i returned the game my 2 weeks was up and it wasnt ready... may try again later on

This game has great potential to be an awesome C&C style game.
At the moment It feels bare bones. Standard units, sound, layout, graphics. Nothing major.
Lots of things can/must be added. Rotating camera angles. Both hand controls usable. Upgrade in graphics and sound.
just hope the developer hasn't given up on it.
I agree with some others that it should still be in an Early Access stage though.
But as it stands, it's worth a blast.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
So I got this 25% off on the Steam Summer sale and it's not bad. It's not great, but it's not bad. I lost my first battle. I started on easy and put it for 12 minutes in the default location. I didn't know what was going on. There were like no instruction on what to do or what you should be doing.
I happened to click on the bulldozer and started to build a factory that made materials. From there, I started building other bases, factories, garrisons, etc. What I didn't realize until after several minutes, is that you have to click on what you want produced on some of these buildings being created. So I started making tanks and helicopters.
I was in the process of building a new building when suddenly we were under siege. I have no idea where these guys showed up and didn't even know you could attack or be attacked while you're still building up your forces. So of course, I got caught naked and pretty much all my building were destroyed within a matter of a few minutes. My few vehicles were no match to counterattack the enemy.
On my second playthrough, I wised up and started building right away. I directed what units I wanted and positioned them accordingly. I started attacking the enemy bases. It was a little challenge as the enemy was no pushover, but I just managed to overrrun the enemy with brute force. It was on easy so I'm not sure if there's more strategy involved in the harder difficulties.
But I thought it was cool seeing all the things you can build. And then commanding them to attack or defend. I definitely think that alone makes it worth the $3.74 sale price and even normal price. There's several maps and difficulties and timers. I could see this as a way to just see what works and what doesn't and the graphics although not mind-blowing, get the job done. Kind of like having your own GI Joe playground in VR versus the little plastic toys you had as a kid.
Rate 6/10.

Simple but fun modern warfare RTS. Goal is to capture and hold control points.
+ Simple base building
+ Simple resource management
+ Customization options. Lots of different soldiers, vecicles and helicopters available
- Early access so still a little rough around the edges
- Base building/research is oversimplified
- Occational performance issues
- Unit cap is to low, tiny "army"
- No formations
- No multiplayer
I would like some more complexity overall and a greater selection of buildings and research options. It would also be great if you could enter the battlefield and take control of one of the units as in "Out of ammo". Multiplayer would be perfect for this game.

This game is nowhere near ready for release, especially for VR. The performance is poor on a GTX1070, the camera angles are not designed for VR (the entire world is tilted like in a regular desktop RTS, but in VR I can just tilt my head, I don't need the camera to be tilted already). The camera movement is very nauseating and not based on the direction you are looking. The graphics are nice and gameplay is pretty standard RTS (like original C&C level) and it's fun to see your army in VR. Maybe one day if the game is significantly improved it will be playable but at this point it's just far too early to call it a release or even early access.
