Stardock started by releasing an underdeveloped game so people had to buy the DLC. Now they're underdeveloping DLC too.

The first mission of this DLC is glitched for me, and always ends in defeat at the point I "win". This means I can't access the two other missions.

Just thoroughly disappointed in the game. I expected more from a company that has been doing these kinds of games for this long.

The campaigns are a joke. The additions to the base game for open ended games is far too little. I do not care for encouraging this kind of behaviour from developers, especially when it comes to game I was looking forward to.

Interesting story. But it could be built on more. But the story is fun and I enjoyed it.

Pains me to give a negative review to anything for GC3; I love this game and I've enjoyed all the DLC content up to now. But The Altarian Prophecy DLC isn't worth the cost. Biggest issue: This campaign doesn't ever answer the question about why the Terrans and Altarians look alike. I never played GC1 or GC2 and I haven't looked any of the story up on a wiki anywhere. I was hoping this DLC would answer the question, but it doesn't. Lame. Other problems: The enemies simply aren't aggressive enough to ever make you feel threatened. This campaign is a walk in the park. No challenge at all. The only thing I did like: the maps for all three episodes were good. Don't waste your money. Doesn't add anything new to the game.

Seriously? Again? This is another $5 DLC that contains very little of what is promised. Sure, there are two new ship styles, and some new parts, but (AGAIN) the new factions are NOT PLAYABLE... what is this? I used to love the Korx in GCII (I am a weirdo), and I was going to mod them back in. Well, now I can, but WHY DO I HAVE TO? Why can't Stardock just ass these factions into the game? The Xendar And Haven would have been a great opportunity in the last DLC, but this is just too obvious! Boo Stardock!

This is the definition of an optional DLC. Content that doesn't paywall any key features. If they had added new features to this DLC, then someone would cry. I think having pure content and pure feature DLCs are best. Dont mix them up, then the features feel overpriced to some and the content to others. I love the campaign and have always thought galciv 3 needed more story missions. Stardock provided these at a cheap price. Fantastic. If you don't like the price or story missions, then skip it. You won't be locked out of any features. I think this is a fun DLC well worth the price.
