It's more mega man, it's easily accessible for a casual audience. But more importantly... it's more mega man :D

Worth the price of admission for Mega Man 7 alone in my opinion. The rest of the collection are also sublime too. You really can't go wrong with this one.

Unless you're good at retro games, which not all of us are, this shit is unplayable without a rewind key. Why does the first collection have a rewind key and this one doesn't? It's ridiculous. It has checkpoints but those suck. Legit can't get passed the freeze man stage in megaman 7 due to the annoying amount of pit falls and spikes that all insta kill you.

A great experience. I was surprised consistently by how good these games were. They have their bad moments. Most of them coming from Mega Man 7 (Turbo Man and the final boss can chomp glass). The most surprising being Mega Man 8. It has beautiful art and a great arcade feel. The saving system in these isn't as good. You can't tell me Mega Man 7 doesn't need save states. Honestly, all of them could benefit from that kind of system. I think this is better than the first pack. But these games had a lot of other games to learn from, so that makes sense.

Megaman Legacy Collection 2 is, much like the first one, an incredilbe way to play the classic Megaman series. The games in this collection are Megaman 7 on the SNES, 8 on PSX, and the 2 retro revival games 9 & 10, both initially for WiiWare. In that was already the games in this one are a bit more distinct from each other than the previous collection, as the 4 games somewhat differ in their design. 7 and 8 are very much a progression of the classic formula, while 9 and 10 take the series back to its roots. All 4 are phenomenal games, and among the best in the series (especially 7 deserved much credit that its often not given, its very very good). If you've already played MMLC, you already know the drill: These are emulations, not ports. What you're getting is the original game, as it was presented on the day of its release. Several QOL features once again persist, but are a little different than before. Save States are replaced with the much more refined system of Checkpoint Saves, which are a theoretical "downgrade", but in my eyes do much more to preserve the original challenge of the games, while still helping new players along nicely. Once again the full OST is present in a music player, Concept Art is provided, and theres plenty of Challenges to do on the side. This era of Megaman games is one especially worth witnessing. Along the time of 7, Megaman started to really experiment with what it should do to shake up the by-now stale formula. Both of these games also ran perpendicular to the X series, and that reflects in especially 7 and 8, which extensively use improvements made in that series, while still keeping the classic charme we were used to. Both made extensive use of technical innovations of the time, and this molds them into some of the more unique games in the franchise. 7 especially is incredibly accessible and did a lot to rejuvenate Megaman as a concept. 8 is a little more shaky as it has some strange level design to fight with, but overall the experience still works and it uses the capabilities of the playstation to really elevate the visual artistry of it all. Both games did a lot for the franchise and are well worth your time. 9 and 10, on the other hand, retrack back to the ideas of Megaman 2, and focus on improving and honing in on the series' level design more than anything. This produced in my eyes the most competent duology of Megaman platformers, and by far some of the best games in the classic series. The levels in these two games are some of the most fun Megaman levels there is, and the same goes for the bosses, all of which are incredible. But these games are not only some of the most fun and challenging Megaman games there is, they're also in and of themselves loaded with tons of extra content such as Special Stages, new characters to play as, and a Hard Mode that drives each title up to 11. Megaman 10 even has some special secrets ready for those who played those shaky Gameboy titles way back when. Megaman Legacy Collection 2 contains 4 of Megaman's best games, and is overall well worth the relatively cheap pricetag it's given. The games featured in this collection not only expanded on what Megaman was way back in the day, but are also well worth playing to this day. They're fun, beautiful and quasi endlessly replayable.

I love the Mega Man 7-10 games, but Capcom did not put any effort in this compilation, it's a lazy cash grab. There were two versions of Mega Man 8, for Saturn and Playstation, they differ in content. The Saturn version has two additional bosses from earlier Mega Man games, some music is totally different, etc The Saturn version is missing in this compilation, what a shame. The Playstation version is there, but the awesome anime cutscenes have low picture quality (low resolution), Capcom clearly did not put any restauration effort into this. I have seen Disney cartoons from the 1930s in much better picture quality, seriously.
