Well worth the price and the new character is very good, make sure you hit the plama ball in mid transition to blow it up for more damage and jump pack with homing missles is really awesome

New character is really cool, was really fun playing her. Her cards synergized well with each other.
Other cards were unremarkable, with the exception of "Prismatic Beam" and "Unstoppable Thunder." "Lighting Rod" is funny, but not worth. The new mechanic "Dismantle" sucks, just a worse draw and is broken in regards to Mentor's Maze achievements (only "Salvage" and "ZapperBot Assembler" seemed to work for it).
As for the Drone World... real hit-or-miss, you're doing yourself a disservice (difficulty-wise) if you download it before finishing base-game. It's fun, but the shield enemies SUCK. Any enemy with a shield sucks (looking at you, spinny-rat-creature and rat-o-copter), you're just forced to wait and/or run.
Mentor's Maze is an EXTREMELY lazy mode and even worse, a slog. No new mechanics, just blindly wandering throughout Battles to get to the end. Did you like the interesting mechanic of seeing potential modifiers for maximum risk-reward? TOO BAD, subjected to 15+ Battle runs. I probably wouldn't be as upset were there not an achievement having you finish this in under 9 stages. The pain of 9+ stages (if you get lost like me!) can extend your playtime by HOURS. Has no real replayability outside of masochism.
At least the end boss is cool, neat design, human-sized, nice voice + voicelines. Dying is soul-crushing though, considering what you have to do to reach him.
He also hard counters Ravager as he dashes behind you each attack and has few openings. In terms of difficulty:
Ravager >>>>> Squire of Light > Volco > Stormbringer >= Setsuna
Funny enough, this is also my difficulty for the no-hit achievement. Volco has his funny global slam + extreme damage, so he's psuedo-ranged with Squire of Light having the inverse problem (psuedo-melee, no real CD reduction).
PRO GAMER STRATS FOR 9 BATTLE ACHIEVEMENT (Probably consistent, it worked twice on Setsuna and I could not be happier)
Reset until you start off in a room with one portal. ("Forward" is forward from where you entered from, "Alt" is the other path; if there are three total, must be something wrong).
Forward

Forward/Alt (Forward)
Forward/Alt (Alt)

Forward/Alt (forward)
Secret CHEAT gamer strat reminder (courtesy of "iwansquall" in the Discussions, YOU'RE A LIFESAVER): You can alt + f4 before dying to restart the last stage you played. Works in all Programs, in case you want to efficiently achievement hunt.
Overall, $10 for a new character, hard zone, subpar cards, more PAINFUL achievements than anything the base game threw at you and a slog of a Program is not worth the price. Maybe like $5-7?

This is a really fun expansion to a really fun game. Lots of new stuff, and an awesome new character.
The reason I can't recommend this expansion at this point is due to the RNG nature of how you gain cards; Now that I have a good deal of the cards from the original game, and really only want the new cards (at least for commons), having to spin for cards feels really bad. I feel like I'm being punished for having played the game before the expansion when I have to watch 100 gold turn into 5 measly shards over and over again, without ever seeing a new card.
It didn't feel bad when all of the cards were new to me, but the fact that I'm after such a small subset of cards make it feel like there's no reason to try now. I would even go as far as to say that the expansion, while fun, has managed to ruin the game for me; the grind has been made too intolerable for the game to feel rewarding now.

I am giving this one the thumbs up for a few very important reasons in my opinion:
1 - Aaand the most important. I checked the news before I got the expansion and the skins, and according to the developer, the new world, the new boss and the cards coming with this expansion can be encountered or won by doing dailies. This means that even if you don't buy the expansion, you will still get to experience the new content. This for me, means that such a dev is worth the support.
2 - a new class to get used to and eventually master. There's another 5+ hours game time at least...
3 - more cards, which is always good to see, as it allows you to get even more creative and create more interesting decks.
4 - a whole new world and a mission chain, the Mentor's Maze. More things to kill, and more challenges to conquer, which is always nice to see.
So in essence, if you enjoy Forced Showdown like I do, you will like this expansion. If you are on the fence or think that the price tag is too high, just go ahead and play the game as it is. You lose NOTHING. You will still have a chance to find the new cards and play vs the new boss, and to top it all, experience the new drone world while doing your daily missions, which not only are very lucrative, but also tons of fun - and you should really be doing those anyway.
