I have never played this game before. It took me back to those days when game-play wasn`t over-complicated. Good story, good fps.

pretty short and fun story just right for a casual gamer, spawns are silly but lots of taliban killing which is exciting and kinda fun

Excellent game that absolutely is still worth playing in 2025! If you're into games like Call of Duty, then I highly recommend it! The graphics might not quite hold up to todays standards, but they are pretty decent. FYI; there's only single-player campaign. GOOD - Story/Campaign is very good! - Lots of action and very engaging gameplay, aka Call of Duty style. - You can lean behind covers. BAD - Enemy NPCs are a bit stupid. Several times they didn't notice me standing right next to them. Ok, maybe they didn't see me, but still... - Friendly NPCs are often in your way. They also run right in front of your line of fire. - Sometimes it can be a little confusing where you are supposed to go or what exactly they want you to target/shoot. - FOV is a bit narrow and can't be changed. - The game refused to run and gave me an EA error message when my firewall blocked its communication. This means you might not be able to play this in the future if the server no longer exists, unless they patch the game of course.

Medal of Honor does a lot of things well and a few things not so well. I first played this game in 2010 when it was first released. Back then, I remember having a fondness for the game. There were a great deal of "cool moments" and the narrative running throughout was simple but compelling. This fondness still holds up even 15 years later. There is a great deal of authenticity I have found in the game still to date. However, comparing this game to other FPS experiences, it's lacking by today's standards. Move to cover, shoot. Move to cover, shoot some more. Get a bigger gun, blast the fortified structure. Wash, rinse, repeat. Sometimes you get to put on night optics. Sometimes you get to shoot a sniper rifle. I wasn't able to manage more than 4 hours from the campaign front to back. In short, it was nice to revisit old memories, but the experience was purely nostalgic, and may not be as fulfilling to someone looking to pick it up with fresh eyes.

Finished the campaign on hard in 5.1 hours...pretty short. Felt way too easy for a good portion of the campaign - bad guys are very slow to target you and it wasn't until the last hour or so that it felt decently challenging due to the sheer number of bad guys. Enjoyed the story and dialog, but felt like this was a budget version of COD4 with worse bots, too easy, and too short. Radio chatter between team and other story elements felt fairly authentic (not that I would know) which was a pleasant improvement compared to other games including COD. Had a few buggy spots where it wouldn't trigger the next cut scene or action until I found the magic spot to stand in. Overall I'd give this a 6/10 - worth playing if it's on sale.

📜 Overview Medal of Honor is a first-person shooter game developed by Electronic Arts, originally released in 1999. Set during World War II, it broke new ground by offering an immersive experience that focused on the soldier's perspective. The game casts players in the role of Lieutenant Jimmy Patterson, a member of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), tasked with critical missions behind enemy lines. Medal of Honor stood out for its realism and compelling gameplay, drawing comparisons to the popular Saving Private Ryan film. 🌟 Pros ✅ Immersive World War II Experience – The game offers a gripping portrayal of World War II, with highly detailed environments and historically accurate settings. ✅ Innovative Gameplay – It combined action-packed shooting mechanics with stealth and tactical elements, allowing players to choose how to approach objectives. ✅ Strong Narrative – The game presents a well-written story, with characters that players can invest in, making the missions more engaging. ✅ Varied Missions – A mix of objective-based and combat-heavy missions keeps the gameplay diverse and fresh throughout the experience. ✅ Sound and Voice Acting – The atmospheric sound design and strong voice acting contribute to the game's overall immersive quality. ⚠️ Cons ❌ AI Limitations – Enemy AI can sometimes be predictable and lack complexity, making combat less challenging at times. ❌ Limited Multiplayer – While the game introduced some multiplayer modes, it was a feature that didn’t reach the same level of depth or popularity as later titles in the genre. ❌ Outdated Graphics – While the game was impressive for its time, the visuals may appear dated by today’s standards, and certain textures can feel blurry. ❌ Repetitive Gameplay – Some missions and gameplay loops can feel repetitive, especially in terms of shooting and combat. 💬 Player Sentiment Positive: Many players enjoy the nostalgic World War II setting, gripping narrative, and memorable gameplay mechanics. The game’s authenticity and immersive atmosphere are frequently praised. Negative: The lack of challenging AI and sometimes slow pacing were cited as drawbacks for some players. 🏆 Rating Breakdown 🎮 Story & Narrative: 9/10 🔫 Gameplay: 8/10 🎨 Graphics & Design: 7/10 🎧 Sound & Voice Acting: 9/10 🕹️ Replayability: 7/10 🎯 Final Verdict Medal of Honor remains a landmark title in the history of first-person shooters. Its realistic portrayal of World War II, solid gameplay mechanics, and immersive atmosphere make it an unforgettable experience for fans of the genre. Although it shows its age in some areas, it still holds up as a strong and influential game in the FPS landscape. Whether you’re a long-time fan of the franchise or a newcomer interested in WWII shooters, Medal of Honor is worth playing.

A more grounded in real life shooter than the likes of COD. It's a shame this series died as it was a good change of pace from the craziness of Battlefield and COD. Remaster MOH: Frontline please!

really good game which reminded me of the good old CoD games combined with battlefield. Better than the new CoD games but i prefer games like MW2 or BO1. still a great game which makes a lot of fun.

People generally diss on this game, and hard. True, this isnt the best FPS COD like shooter out there, the game mechanics can be a bit better at times. Despite all the roughness, there is a gem underneath. The story is pretty awesome in my opinion, kind of reminiscent of the older MOH games. Forget about the comparison to other games, this game, by itself is still an underrated game according to me. It is short, it shows the gruesome nature of battle, makes you feel badass, and you especially appreciate the game on the hard difficulty. MOH has always been dear to me, this is an homage to it.

Campaign was great, but far far too short. Multiplayer.... well all medal of honour servers shut down in 2023. So that's that. This game isn't worth more than £10 in my opinion today.
