Nation Red is one of my all time favorite top down shooters with almost 200 hours played and 100% achieves.
Versus Squad is a case study in how to take one game (Nation Red), strip out all the fun elements of the original, and release it under a different title. Thankfully, this was peddled as a separate product instead of an "update" to Nation Red, so they didn't ruin the original experience.
Versus Squad is hot garbage in comparison.
