Game is short, but well worth the price. There are a few grammatical mistakes, but in the end the story and gameplay was great. Definitely will replay the game. Hope to see a sequel or DLC with more cases.

As it is, it's a fun little detective game, however it does suffer from some later grammar errors and what's interesting is the outcome can change, depending on who you talk to at what point during the game. I feel that the developer did pour their heart into it, however it still suffers a few problems and was clearly a mobile game, with certain areas asking you to tap, despite using a mouse and keyboard. It's certainly fun for what it is, especially with different outcomes that can happen, depending who you accuse and how closely you look at the evidence.

I'm always into this kinda detective-visual novel kinda thing.. bought this game after reading the review from detective mortuus.. yea, it's kinda simple game, not too hard, not too complicated either.. but love the storyline, love how things going if I do this, and things going if I others instead. not that long of a game, finished mine after 2 hrs or so, but I'm restarting again just to see the other endings, unlocking the achievements, trying to answer differently, and try to catch different person each time lol

You're detective. You collect evidence, talk to witnesses and solve mysteries (kind of reminded me of Ace Attorney series). Depending on how you act story plays out differently. Game has three cases in total, took me 5 hours to complete one playthrough.

Going through the game is a bit of a chore. The story is ok, and the game looks good, but there are too many spelling and grammar mistakes, the dialogues are often not believable, and the gameplay is bland. This was very close to being enjoyable though, that's a shame.

Reach out for the truth and aim to be an Ace Detective! (lol not really) Your basic detective game where you investigate things and collect evidence with that black and white noir style art :D I like the short chapters and the various choices I could make that may lead to different endings on each chapter. Sometimes I forgot that I was a detective and not an attorney (lol) so dying is actually possible when confronting a suspect. Cons: No skip button for read text, only 2 save slots, autosave only, no settings option. basically just technical stuff XP

It's not a bad game, but there are many gameplay mistakes that ruin the efforts. Despite having many choices, their purpose fail as a game mechanic since you have no idea what choice will give what result. If you wish to arrest a particular individual, you have to look at a walkthrough for the "correct" choice order. That doesn't work like it should. You think you're in control when suddenly the game decides that you arrest somebody, just because you talked to A instead of B at some point. No. Technical issues too: No way to change display resolution without going back to the main menu. Doing so destroys your progress because... you can't save anytime! Darn check points... There are only Autosaves on 1 slot. Automatic text advance during the cutscenes should be banished as well, especially since there is no pause nor backlog and if you didn't have the time to read/were distracted, tough luck. You have to click to advance, keyboard doesn't work. The writing is not bad, but there are a few things that irritated me: Having no period at the end of the sentences makes the text look like it's not finished. It's basic grammar, and yet... A few typos and spelling errors here and there, especially in chapter 3. And a consistant misspelling of "opioid" that lost an "i" every time it's written. But the most annoying thing is the quick time choices where you have 1 second to choose between 3 choices. After 1 second, game over. No, no, dev. Even Telltale games allow more time and it still sucks.

8/10 - Damien Hunt, The New Sherlock Holmes?! When I found this game I was pretty excited. I love visual novels and this one is a little more interactive than others. This game includes (3) episodes that take about an hour each. You can achieve multiple endings and catch different suspects as you see fit. You play as Damien Hunt, a junior police detective from the Crownstown Police Department. Typically, all new detectives are paired with a veteran but for the first time, due to circumstances beyond control, you are paired with another rookie. Everyone claims the city is now safe and peaceful so the new arrangement is fine...but will these two newcomers find out otherwise? You will collect evidence, interrogate witnesses and suspects, travel around the city visiting more than 15 locations and piece together everything in an effort to apprehend criminals that are secretly plaguing the city. My only complaint is that the hotspots are often difficult to identify and this makes triggering future events frustrating at times. Please note you may need to click the same objects more than once, for different information. Overall, I would definitely pay $5 if you like visual novels. This one won’t be put in the epic category but provides a really fun experience!

Accidently Reviewed
Was this review helpful or maybe even not helpful? I would recommend the game, though not enthusiastically, if the writing had been done well. When a game does not have voice acting, the script needs to be grammatically correct. I can get the gist of what they are saying, but it prevents me from enjoying the game.

Pretty predictable but fun game. Has a few different scenarios depending on your actions. Only 3 chapters and about 3 hours of gameplay but there is some replay value for achievements and different endings for each chapter. I would love to see some DLC or even a second game with new chapters and new characters. This game is definitely worth the $5 if you like detective games/books/movies.
