This is a very fun arcade game. The graphics are well polished, and the music selections are very nice. I would love to see an Audioshield-esque music system added in the future, but what we have now is still pretty great! Weapons and other upgrades are unlocked in a very nice progressive system, and the variety of weapons that spawn in the play area make for some fun gameplay and opportunities to quickly plan and execute combos. Great game for all ages.

This is a great rhythm game! The trailer really doesn't do it justice - the game looks and feels much better in action. Gameplay is so simple and satisfying. Music is absolutely amazing and everything is synced up perfectly. Worth every $. Hell, for amount of fun you get out of this game I'd say it's worth twice as much!

Only been able "read allowed"to play this for a short time but had a fun time and know this is well worth recommending others buy. Music is unexpectedly good and the movement and gameplay feel immediately natural. Whilst this isn't a particularly immersive vr experience, anyone that likes fun music / reaction titles will dig this. Really looking forward to playing this one again. Give it a go.

Audio Arena is a bullet hell game set to music where you can use items to the beat to destroy the bullets. What makes this game special, is it's extremely accurate. Unlike Audio Shield, the play on this syncs *exactly* to the beat. If you have musical training, you will especially appreciate this! On the first day I already clocked three hours of play and made it up onto the leader board for several of the songs! The songs are quite catchy instrumentals, with different tempos. Everything I listened to I enjoyed. There are a lot of songs, at least 15+. There is a progression system to unlock more songs, and different items. This is now my favorite game for the HTC Vive. Cons: * The screen does redraw (goes grey) once in a while. * Without an ingame score it's hard to know what actions lead to the most points. Besides those things, I overwhelmingly recormmend this game.

You're in a cylinder. You move a space ship on the inner surface (excluding bottom and top) using a controller of your choice (even gaze control is available). You avoid hitting colored circles and try to pick up the powerups that kill them. When you pick up a powerup, you try to match the beat of the song. There's enough content to last almost two hours if you try to get 3 stars for all songs (easy) and all the achievements (fairly difficult). If you need more after that, you can compete on the global leaderboards. Apparently those offer good competition, since I only got into the top10 for one song during my 1.7 hours. The price is right, controls work and you can play standing or sitting. If you're interested in a 2D Xortex, you should definitely give this one a go.

So I got this game in a bundled sale (added on game for about $1.50 extra when I bought another game on sale that I wanted) and I didn't think i would like it that much, but I figured it's only $1.50, no big deal if it ends up being a turd. I ended up loving this game and not liking the other game so much (a mini-golf game by same dev). Bullet hell games don't really appeal to me. But this is not exactly that. Games controlled by gaze also don't really appeal to me (luckily, you can guide the ship with motion controls or gamepad). This is actually one of the most fun VR music rhythm games and it's very different than anything else out there in VR. One of the reasons I didn't want this game is because I just didn't see what VR would bring to the table to this type of game. It's not like you need a depth of field to play this game. But oh boy, was I wrong. VR makes this game even better because you have a screen that just keeps moving to wherever you're headed. The music is not something that I would listen to outside of the game. But it's very well in sync with the gameplay. You play to the beat. I never felt frustrated or stressed out by the gameplay. The game increased my enjoyment of the in-game music and it made me want to move up on the leaderboards. My main gripe with the game is that, at least with the motion controls, navigating the menu UI was cumbersome. Also, the colored shields pick-ups are pretty worthless. I wish there were more songs or that we had the ability to add our own songs. However, I can't really complain too much about that given the price. Rating 8/10
