I keep coming back to this game. It's simple and yet the strategic potential for play is immeasurable. It's an absolute treasure that completely nails the use of deckbuilding in a rogue-ultra-lite game. I cannot recommend this enough. I wish BetaDwarf still supported it.

I'd only recommend this Deluxe Edition if you either already know that you like the game or are certain that you will since it doesn't contain tons of hugely amazing content but rather a collection of nice gimmicks, as listed in the description. However, if you are really into FORCED SHOWDOWN, which I totally am, you will probably appreciate what it has got to offer. Though with the actual content in mind I recommend getting this Deluxe Content in a bundle. If you happen to think about getting the game, consider the FORCED Collector Pack as it currently offers the biggest discount and is not a huge difference to the price of the base game, so you barely pay much more for this DLC. Bear in mind that for some reason the Art Collection is incomplete and pretty useless as you see these exact cards ingame, but maybe you want to have a more detailed look or screenshots or whatever. The posters, wallbacks and Avatars look really nice and I might change some avatars here and there with ones from the game. The soundtrack, while only containing 7 tracks, is also very enjoyable. You get the Game show's host's voicelines which isn't even listed in this DLC's description but I really like the narrator so I'm listing that as a positive as well. Oh, and the ingame skins are pretty neat as well. You can make Xiao Lang, the dragon, look like Spyro. That should be enough.

Since this is a dlc to a game, I will not go in-depth and list all the good and the bad, and the ok, and the dubious. With this dlc, the things are actually very simple. I will have you play a game. Make a mental note at how many points you got to score in this little questionnaire, or grab a piece of paper. 1. Did you have a blast playing Forced Showdown? a) yes - add a point. b) no - substract a point. c) not really - score unchanged. 3. Did you find any of the soundtracks awesome and felt pumped up for a fight? a) yes - add a point. b) no - substract a point. c) not really - score unchanged. 4. Do you want more customization of the characters and the minions? a) yes - add a point. b) no - substract a point. c) not really - score unchanged. 5. Did you enjoy the art style of Forced Showdown? a) yes - add a point. b) no - substract a point. c) not really - score unchanged. Done! That was fast wasn't it. Now let's review the score: 3+ points: grab it right away and enjoy the hell out of it. 1-2 points: grab it on sale and enjoy it. 0 or less: enjoy the game as it is, and don't buy the deluxe edition. I personally did it, because this game is pushing all the right buttons for me - and the theme before a fight became my pump up song when I go about my daily routines, and subbed Ready for Battle from XCOM after so many months.

It's a traditional deluxe package: Some skins, some artbook content, the soundtrack. Not incredibly unique, not bad either, just... It's hard to go wrong with this particular bundle of perks, right? There's usually something for everyone.
