I'd give this a yes if only the CosmoCast 6'3" Sport rod and Cyclone 6500 Sport reel (which they're suppose to go/work together) actually works, now just a little info I got this in the Sports Bundle since it was half off ($20). Now this rod and reel should cast roughly around 150-180ft (46-55m) right now it cast max 90ft (27.5m). I did some research and found out that the devs learned it wasn't doing like it should and fixed it but some people screamed at the devs for changing it (I'm dumbfounded on how or why) so the devs changed it back, mind you this is what I read I'm not 100% sure if that's true.
Other than that this "dlc" is great but at the moment I say spend the extra $15 ($20) on the Anniverary Pack with that you get 7 premium days and a rod and reel close enough to what the cyclone and cosmo should do plus you get a way more better fishjail which is thee biggest one you can get in game on top of a few other things.

Sport Heavy Casting is a good outfit, but it does take some getting used to. It is an extra heavy casting setup, which means that it does not cast very far but handles big lures. You may find that you have to exaggerate your normal rod movements to achieve a desired retrieve style, because (1) the rod moves lures up and down the water column like a log pole would and (2) you have less distance to get into a reasonably well performed stop&go or lift&drop retrieve before you leave the "strike zone" that you might have barely reached with your cast. With that said, I liked fishing with the medium spoons included, which work very well for salt water predators and deep lake bottom fishing. I do think that the crankbaits included in this sport pack DLC are a little bit light for the rod, with the heaviest weighing in at 1.5 ounces. You can get better casting distance with a 2 ounce or heavier crankbait, like one from the X-series.
Please note that the included Cyclone reel has only six drag settings. This means that you will have to reduce the drag setting significantly to be able to use the supplied line. For 40 pound fluorocarbon, you should reduce the setting to 4 out of 6. If you decide to use the lighter 32 pound test monofilament, the drag should be set to level 3 out 6 (a half circle). It will be tempting to increase the drag from these settings, because the amount of tension the outfit achieves before the drag begins to release line will appear suboptimal, but you will break your line if you try to increase the drag tension! This reel does not support fine-tuning of line tension while fighting a fish, you must pick the right drag setting and stick with it!

CHECK stats of different DLC rods before buying. Rods might have different names but they are identical. And also i suggest ANY new player to NOT buy ANY DLC before level 5 minimum. I bought DLC at low level , ending up wasting money and was overwhelm with all the Licenses and gear i got and by then i was so confused. So my suggestion to you new player. I know it's not what you want to hear but WAIT til level 5 minimum. you will make a way better decision and ending up saving money . This to me is a pay to win PURELY because you get so much advantage in efficient and big gain fishing. Game works with license so if you dont have the Advance License wich lets you keep ALL fish disregard the weight. you will end up releasing alot of fish and wasting alot of time.Watch youtube videos if you want to be sure you dont screw up you're start.

Don't buy this. Like all large profile baitcasting reels in this game, casting distance is garbage, even the perfect full power cast yields you sub 30 meters,. And if that doesn't matter for the occasion, let's say you fish from a boat, the retrieve speed is so bad that something like a Taimen, which pulls plenty of line every time it runs, will creep out on you as you can't pull it back fast enough between the runs thanks to the pathetic retrieval speed on top of the slow action on the rod.
By the time you'll need something with these types of stats, just go for a Thetis and Ambusher combo instead and save your real money.

The drag for this reel makes no sense, lvl 3 drag is 24lb and lvl 4 drag is 32lb max line in game is 32lb.... so max you can ever get out of reel is 24lb. in the end you will end up using the dlc rod with a plain reel to get the extra drag pressure thus breaking up the combo.... they need to add a 35-36lb line to make this combo make sense or break the drag steps into 7 lvls instead

Sorry, this DLC is bugged. All you can cast with the given lures are about 20-25 meters max. A minimum cast should be 35 to be considered acceptable.

This setup can cast a max of 80 feet, bought it thinking it could cast further than what I had before but no. 0/10 do not recommend. Save your money for something better than this trash setup.

It is a good dlc, however the pitch of the rod + reel kit goes beyond 30 meters, which is bad for a reel, and the basket could be at least 100kg,I'm waiting for the solution to the problem of the kit, the throw of a 22kg equipment, no more than 30 meters border the joke, her baits are 28g to 85g, the maoor q has in store n reaches 85g,
being able to use the maximum of the equipment.
