Great game in the series, quite different from the others but more polished and simple.

In a world full of jumping/shooting games this one (as well as the rest of the legacy) is real. Just an incredible story, gun play and looting...did I mention it will cause you to do a tighty-whitey change or two.

Compare to CS... this shit is by far more balanced... although idk what to do with the stupid amounts of money I gain, hell one can get loads of money to the point that might as welll just attempt a run where you just don't gain much money.

I really enjoyed this game! The gameplay was fantastic, and the overall story was very engaging. The guns were definitely the highlight for me, and the friendships and teamwork you build throughout the game added to the experience. I just finished creating a video about this game for my YouTube channel, and I think it's the best one I've featured. I have a total of 30 videos on my channel related to this game, making it my largest playlist. I genuinely had a lot of fun playing, and I highly recommend that you give it a try. It's a great game!

I know that Steam says that I have only a few hours, but I have played this game a LOT outside Steam, probably have more like 200 hours. I grew up with this game, completed it around 10-20 times (if not more). The atmosphere is incredible. Like in all other stalker games, you're not the center of the universe, you are just yet another stalker starting off with nearly nothing. No, the "real" main character of the game is the Zone itself. Most games say that they have a "living and breathing world", but this game is the only one where I have genuinely felt that the Zone wouldn't care if Degtyarev walks into a Vortex and is obliterated. Loners and bandits would still have firefights over artifacts, Duty and Freedom would still have skirmishes over who gets to control Yanov Station, the Zone would still create new anomaly fields, and mutants would still hunt and hide. All of this is thanks to A-Life, stalker groups and mutants will roam around the map whether or not you're there, combined with an AI that is surprisingly advanced for a nearly 20 year old game.

Call of Pripyat takes the improvements made in Clear Sky and perfect them, making this entry a far more enjoyable romp through the zone compared to the previous entry. However, I still feel that this game is a bit lacking when compared to Shadow of Chernobyl. Call of Pripyat is certainly the most "complete" of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy, but I found it rather lacking (granted, I virtually rushed through the main story, and did not take part in many of the side missions). Overall, I do recommend Call of Pripyat, especially if you enjoyed Shadow of Chernobyl, but I would treat it as more of an expansion to the original game's story, rather than a fully fledged sequel.

Easily the best stalker game. It is worth playing the first 2 games of the trilogy before this one, as it adds a lot of context and lore. Seeing the evolution of the series is really enjoyable. A shame Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is not as good as this game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 may have a better story and a good graphics (when it's not a blurry and noisy mess all over the screen) but this game is the peak S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience among all 4 games: nice side quests, minimum of bugs, truly living world and working A-Life (yeah, I know, that's crazy, right?) and other features that you always wanted in Stalker 2 but were too shy to ask for. Slap a texture and a weather mod on top of it and you have a nice fresh looking graphics in addition to already good gameplay. Worth the full price.

OG stalker game. I've played hundreds of hours of the CD version. Gotta recommend it for people who are into open-world post-apocalyptic games.

banger game. Does just enough pointing the player in the right direction and then just lets you go off to explore and do missions at your own pace or in your own way. Great game
