Tales of Maj'Eyal - Embers of Rage DLC

Truly sublime. The highest tier of roguelike excellence.

Some cool new classes, but my goodness is this DLC campaign inbalanced on the higher difficulties. The 2nd area boss has 1200 hp when my archer has 300. He then does nearly 200 dmg in one turn from 1 range farther than me, with 2x daze effects since he's dualwielding pistols. for instant casts I cleanse the daze, do a small heal of 70 or so, tumble a couple tiles ahead to get within range of him. I do a throat snipe to silence him, steadyshot to mark, then headshot. He fires, I go near death. Cast evasion, freeze him with rune, rejuvenate, and then he basically kills me unless I leave the room at this point (he heals to full). I have well over 100 hours logged in this game and I've repeated this encounter 5-10x times with completely optimized turn orders, and each time I get him to about 1000/1200 hp when I'm left near death. Completely impossible for the archer class, and this is on insane difficulty which isn't even the highest (madness is considered broken even for the main campaign though lol). Luckily this DLC adds bonus classes, and the dev is super generous with handing out the base game for free, so this is still a positive review. Just had to share my funny story of imba bosses.
