The Guest is a very straightforward Cold War themed escape room game. And although it does some things very well my overall opinion is that it’s just an ok game. Story leaves a bit to be desired and puzzles are a mixed bag. My biggest gripe is that some puzzle solutions are randomized, so if you do get stuck on a puzzle you can’t really use a guide to help progress. There is also a puzzle where the solution is solved entirely by guessing, which is far from ideal for a puzzle game. You can often get The Guest at a low price point, but unless you love escape room titles I would skip this.
