A great pack that adds more content and more characters, with odd mechanics that work super well. If I had to pick a favorite, Sylas is fantastic, nothing like getting a bounty and STABBING EVERYONE!

I can play as a badass otter? Yes, please. Great content for the price and I'm already seeing different strategies being used, which adds even more replayability.

I am glad that I can play bandit clan now. I am a little confused why we got the amulet and the dice that were supposed to be exclusive to backers... but backers still got exclusive skins for these characters. As for the complaint about how these characters were supposed to be backer exclusive, there was a vote from the backers that ended up with their eventual availability for everyone to get.

The only character that interests Twiss, Little Lightpaw. The other characters are cool and totally playable but are too particular in play style (at least for online matches).

The Bandit Clan was the first DLC I picked up and probably still my favourite. It offers a good mix of characters with abilities that feel particular to them rather than clan related, which makes sense since none of these animals are from the four main clans. Sylas (river otter) gains power while caryying bounties so murderer away. Horace (badger) is friendly with King's Guards and can work around them nicely. Scarlet (red fox) is a good balanced stat block with a means to gain followers, and Twiss (squirrel) ....is Twiss. Kind of annoying with her constant evasion and card swiping, but also quite fun. The serendibite ring is also useful if you plan on feats of banditry and nefarious deeds to win your game.

The Bandit Clan is a fun character DLC for Armello. It gives you four fun characters to play and level and an amulet that can be used with any of the characters. The characters all have pretty strong abilities. Scarlet draws a follower card every time she rescues a terrorized settlement. If you play with this ability in mind, you can easily end up with a lot of prestige and a strong build of followers, especially if playing against somebody with the Ruin amulet. Sylas gets an extra sword in battle for every level of bounty that he has. This can make him very strong in combat if he's able to maintain Traitor status for a long time. Twiss has evade everywhere except the palace and, if she escapes while evading battle with a hero, she can steal a card from their hand. This is a very strong defensive ability, but unfortunately comes with very weak offensive stats. Horace is able to switch places with guards instead of fighting them when he doesn't have a bounty. This makes it easier to get around the board and into the palace while avoiding unnecessary fights. This clan also doesn't have a uniform day/night bonus dice. 2 characters have a daytime bonus and 2 have a nighttime bonus. Only one of the rings they can use, Serendibite, is unique to the Bandit Clan, and the other rings are just rings from the other clans. Serendibite negates the prestige loss from killing the king's guard and gives one gold on kill. This ring is most useful for Sylas, as his ability encourages you to kill guards. However, it is not as useful for any of the other characters, especially Horace, who won't usually even be able to kill guards. The amulet that comes with this set, Listen, is the worst amulet in the game. It gives one extra star towards leveling up at the end of the game, but doesn't impact the actual gameplay at all. This might seem like it would help you level up faster, but keep in mind that winning gives you more than one extra star, and any of the other amulets will help your gameplay and make you much more likely to win. This is especially annoying to have because if you take too to choose your loadout, it can end up being the amulet that is randomly chosen for you. Overall, I think the Bandit Clan DLC brings four really good characters to the game. It's definitely worth it if you want to add variety to your hero lineup. They generally aren't my favorite heroes to play, but they're definitely viable if you keep their stats/skills in mind. Getting the Listen amulet randomly assigned to you is the only especially bad thing about this DLC. Overall, 7/10.

Puts Scarlet into the game. I love Scarlet. The other members are also very fun to play, (Twiss and Solas have a lot of potential to be real threats) Absolutely my favorite pack.

All I can say is it took them long enough. Far too long. I will be updating my main game review with the fact the Bandits are available and not at a ridiculous price. However the treatment of the community at the hands of LoG has to change if there's to be anything significant in the future, otherwise this may be seen as a swan song for the game as LoG have made it clear they're more interested in low effort, high return work (skins) as opposed to high effort work (content) whilst they focus on their next project. There's still so much to fix (Dice ordering for instance) but the chances of that happening are at best, slim. We shall see. That said, now I can tentatively recommend this game. LoG's conduct notwithstanding.

The heroes are very interesting and incredibly fun to play. They really bring in new and unique play styles with their traits and add a lot more diversity to the cast. Here is a short chart to tell you what all these new items and heroes do. With this bundle you will receive the following: 4 New Heroes of which include: Name: Scarlet Trait: Revolutionary: Whenever you rescue a terrorized settlement, draw a follower card. Name: Twiss Trait: Pickpocket: You have evade everywhere, but the palace. Whenever you escape, you steal a card from that player's hand. Name: Sylas Trait: Butcher: In battle, gain +1 Sword for every bounty level you have. These swords gain pierce against King's Guards. Name: Horace Trait: 9th Knight: When entering a King's Guard space, if you don't have a bounty, swap places with them. 1 New Bandit Clan Ring (They have access to 4 other rings from each of the other 4 clans): Name: Serendibite Ability: When killing a King's Guard, gain +1 Gold and Prestige. 1 New Amulet: Name: Listen Ability: Does Nothing

though i haven't owned bandits till now i have been playing them since owning armello via private games with a kickstarter friend. bandits have some of the most interesting play styles in the game, and thanks to a ring that prevents loss of prestige via fighting guards, have no fear of being wanted. Scarlet (The Fox), The Bandit King is a balanced character with passive allows her to get free followers whenever she sets foot on a terrorised town. at first this may seem like a poor passive, however this power becomes extremely dangerous whenever she is prestige leader or has a high wits when they can manipulate events to cause frequent terror attacks on towns. strangely Twiss (The squirrel), Little Lightpaw is a high wits character i haven't played much of but have seen what this squirrel is capable of. Twiss's passive enables her to have evade on all but the castle tiles with a twist; if she is able to dodge all damage she steals cards from the attackers hand. if played correctly this is a hero that can be costly to be attacked. Sylas (The Otter), Fisher of Souls even before his reballence (where he use to gain attack for every guard killed in his current life) has been the anti guard/ dps character of team bandit. his passive now give him a attack dice per level of wanted he currently posses and those dice gain piercing against guards. Horace (The Badger), The Iron Poet starts off with the highest attack on the team however, unlike the rest of team bandit, is passive is geared towards not being wanted. as long as he dosn't have a bounty he trade tiles with guards adjacent of him. this is useful for those moments where they are blocking the quickest path to your goal. so the question is do i recommend bandit, the answer is yes!
