What can I say? I'm a sucker for aesthetic. The two additional seasons of Armello are beautiful, utterly satisfying to look at. Autumn might just be my favorite. Beautiful, and especially worthwhile if you think your board is lacking a little something after your first however many plays.
Karmic Justice
I went and gave a bad review to this game initially due to it's lack of playerbase, and inconsistent AI. But here we are 2022, and they updated this badboy to have crossplay, and now there's a bunch of players because of the other systems, and I have been able to actually play some online multiplayer. Which is absolutely wild because I stomp muh-fuckerz. However, in a cruel twist of fate, I actually like the game, but gave it a bad review just because of the lack of online, and because I thought it would be funny. Here I have to give a good review to something I dislike so that the universe will be in balance. Like Thanos, and Ted Kaczynski, and the hippies that made the Georgia Guidestones. Perfectly balanced.
The Georgia Guidestones were an art Piece you Stupid Fucks
I can justify buying this, if I were buying/playing the physical version of this game. Because then I could pull out the pretty autumn set of colours when I wanted to impress my friends with how irresponsible my funds expenditure is. Because material possessions are the only thing that matters in this shit hole world. Either way this is a waste of money. The worst part about this 5 bucks, is that there isn't a way for you to hand select the new skins for the games you play, they are randomly generated, and if you are playing online, you have to be matched with other people that all have the same DLC or else you won't be able to ever see it. Upon 2 resets in Singleplayer I was actually able to get the new map skin. I paid for this at discount, but didnt' expect the knotted ass fucking I'd get would be this bad. You cannot select the map even in single player, it's all random. What's even the point in that?
I'm Gonna be real with you Chief, I ain't Reading all that, I'm Happy for you Though, or Sorry that Happened
Don't waste your money on this DLC

if this DLC improves your gaming experience, than it's worth it. Because the whole purpose about playing a game is to "have fun", and appearance definitely plays a part of it.

Considering how little this DLC in particular adds to the game even the reduced sales price is still overcharging.

Not useful at all, but I have to admit that the new boards sure look mighty lovely. I love the new sounds and visuals, especially fall as it's my favourite season. It's a good thing to buy if you want to support the devs.

Nice cosmetics. It's nothing you need but it's still nice to have. It's something to get if you are bored of the old maps.

Now don't get me wrong, Armello is great and a lot of fun-especially with friends. But this DLC is limited, and doesn't share with others in multiplayer matches. The other DLC, Usurpers, was great in that my friends could try out other characters just by merit of my buying the DLC. That's pretty great, and a good move by the developers. But for the Seasons DLC, no such deal; I'm the only one who gets to see the neat seasonal effects. For me, this is a pity and not worth the price of admission.

So this little DLC doesn't add much to the game, but let's be fair it's cheap, and you can support the developers by buying this, and to be honest, eventhou it's just a skin, they did a nicec work on the effects on the terrains!

It is exactly as it is described, but it's a very beautifully done and visually pleasing aesthetic. The seasons are random, and spring is by far my favorite! Great little details on the tiles right down to flower petals. If you play Armello, you just simply need this for some added board variety.

This is one of those rare times I wish I could give a middle ground review, because saying "I don't recommend this" is complex. I like Armello, I like LoG's devs and their work. So I bought this DLC at full price because I am willing to give them more of my money and support. But this is a purely cosmetic DLC, and as such I don't recommend it because it doesn't contain any content that adds gameplay content. So for a review, I'm going to side with my frugal consumer angle that I do with all my reviews and I'm not going to oversell something. Its a pretty pair of maps and I'm happy to support LoG, but in the end its just optional cosmetics and I knew that when I purchased it. As such, I dont advise people to purchase this DLC, but it doesn't mean I advise AGAINST its purchase for the willing either, and I hope you understand why. I look forward to another year of Armello, whatever greater or smaller content may come.
