You get 4 characters and a ring for each faction. The 4 characters are as follows-
Magna of the Wolf clan- Can probably bench 4 of you at the same time, still a big fluff ball.
Sargon of the Rat clan- Will "probably" take all of the Hot Rot Wine, and the TP's.
Ghor of the Bear clan- Very smoll bear, also part time magic casting treant.
Elyssia of the Rabbit clan- Build all the castles, Gain all the money, Use all the Trick cards.
Overall i like them, I hope they make more interesting characters.

A fantastic DLC package featuring 4 new heroes to choose from and a new set of rings for each clan for you to play around with.
Adds waaaaaay more variety to the game, cranking the roster up to 12 or 16 if you include the upcoming bandit clan & you'll absolutely dig the unique hero powers from each of the Usurpers.
I personally love Ghor (GO MAD WITH SPELLS IN FORESTS!!) & Magna (Buff wolf lady that hits right back at ya!) the most!
Elyssia (Fortify a settlement for the rest of the game) & Sargon (Reveal cards when drawing cards) also have some strong powers as well be sure to give em a shot!
Interested in the new rings??? Here's the descriptions:
Aquamarine: In Battle and Perils, +1 Moon while you have 0 Rot. (BEARS)
Rubellite: +3 Fight while you have only 1 Health. (WOLVES)
Rainbow Quartz: +1 Magic every Dawn. (RABBITS)
Tanzanite: +1 Gold when you successfully escape a Peril. (RATS)
If you think these rings are worthy of adding to your hero's arsenal.
You may dig these rings or maybe not? You still get 4 new awesome new characters in this pack.
If you're a huge Armello fan such as myself and you demand more heroes and some new rings! This is worth the 10 dollars price tag. Definitely wont disappoint!
I give this DLC Pack, 11 thicc wolf hips out of 10.

A little Bugfest right now . Please fix the various Problems like:
Teleport doesnt work, Old Revealed Cards overlap new Cards which should be revealed by the new Rat Hero. Cards which are ought to played to another hero just can be casted.. and so on .
One time i couldnt end my turn, it looked like the server didnt answer.
Graphics are still great... worth the money, please fix the bugs

This DLC pack is great and brings a lot more to Armello. Not as good as The Bandit Pack, but definitely up there. Elyssia, Sargon, and Magna are all great and fit snugly with the original cast. The only one I'm sorta iffy on is Ghor as his ability isn't that useful to me. (His skin is also lackluster.)

If you, or a friend, has this dlc people in your game will be able to use the characters even without it. Just thought that should be said.
I'm glad I bought this though. The characters are really strong.
Magna is kind of a defensive Thane. She gains reflect whenever you burn shields allowing her to play 100% defensively and still deal damage. Sadly she's weaker than Thane. If the enemy doesn't roll enough attacks they'll never get to your reflects, also defensive gear doesn't make this better as those shields have to be used up before they can even get to your reflects.
Elyssia is godly at locking down settlements. She can build walls by ending her turn on them that make them act like mountains. You gain +1 shield if you're attacked while in a settlement with walls and they take 2ap to move to instead of 1 except for Elyssia herself making it eat up everyone elses turn while you run back recapping easily. With the rabbit ring she makes money hand over fist and will be geared up and playing trickeries like a fiend. She is weak to slanderous toads though, as so many settlements make the card eat her prestige.
Sargon is also strong, he gets to see the card on the top of the decks so you're not drawing at random. He's the one I got my first rot victory with because of this. Others have to draw from magic in hopes of getting rot cards since you dont' get much rot in equptment and trickeries but the rot is there. WIth his ability I'd just pick up rot cards whenever they showed up without worrying about the decks. With high wits he has a really optimal hand alot of the time. He's pretty weak in combat though.
Lastly Ghor, he was recently changed (I never played old Ghor, I think he used to be able to cast to forest tiles and use less magic) but now if you end your turn in a forest you get basically a few hit of damage. This can be incredibly strong or rather useless, because of this I say he's the weakest in this pack. If you make it to fighting the king with the shield you have 0 chance of dying to him making it much safer. However, all someone has to do to counter is play a single damage card on you and your benefit is lost instantly. Get to the palace with sheild and someone does 1 damage with moonbite and it's all for nothing.
Definitely worth it in my opinion.

Although honestly, I truly feel this DLC is FAR too pricey, (even on sale!)
I'm giving it a 'partial' thumbs-up because of this reason. The Armello-Usurpers Hero Pack DLC comes with four new, very playable and lovable characters. Each of the new characters comes with their own unique styles and abilities.
Each new character really does look AWESOME in-game! The grapics, colors and sounds are up to the expected quality of Armello's beloved game.
However, is it really worth the money?! Here's the 'Shady Area' if you want to spend this kind of money on the DLC that looks AMAZING in-game! That's totally up to you and your Armello game!
Still, all in all as it stands now, this DLC is WAY too pricey, Devs.
A word to the wise, gamers...This DLC is BETTER and much sweeter on sale! :)

In my opinion 10$ too much for this DLC, 6.50 would be fair.
For the half of the game price you get:
+ 4 New characters to play - some involve new mechanics, this is nice.
+ Thick furry bum
+- 4 new rings - 2 of those pretty useless - +3 ATK with you have 1 HP for wolves - there are little to no situation where it would be useful; +1 Gold when you dodged the challenge for rats - all the rest rings way more useful. 2 of the rings are okay - +1 Moon in the night for fights or challenges for bears (if you have 0 rot); +1 Mana at the Dawn for rabbits - additional mana is good for magic builds.

Overall, this pack is something a fan of the series should get.
Four new heroes, with very unique, and fun play styles.
Elyssa is a town focused character, like mecurio, but makes permanent lasting improvements to the map.
Magna is a combat focused defensive character, able to really dish out retaliation damage.
Sargon has the unique ability to see the decks you draw from. And has a great way to play to rot styles.
Our little wyld-kin friend, as ive forgotten his name right now, lets you target spells outside your range, and turn the safety of forests at night into far more dangerous things.
Four new rings, some situational, some very nice options to consider, it depends on your playstyle.
The cost is only the downside really.
But so far, i've enjoyed the characters, and they add quite a bit to how the game goes.

Usurpers DLC adds 4 new characters to the game.
This is also an expansion pack similar to DLC for new nations in a 4X Strategy game, which is fairly standard nowadays. The content is easily sufficient to not be consumer-abusive DLC. The characters are not reskins, all having unique models and animations and hero abilities. None of the characters are overpowered in my opinion, not enough so as to make any of them 'pay to win' in any fashion either*. At about $2.50 each, its not bad. For the added gameplay, I'd say go ahead and buy it.
In addition, if you play with a full lobby of friends (a private lobby with no public-queue players) then as long as at least one person in the lobby has this DLC then all players may play as if they have it.
* - IMO, Sargon's power is the closest to being overpowered because its not situational like most other characters, and a big part of this game's uncertainty and RNG is in what cards you draw. He's the most able to generate advantage from the decks with less reliance on RNG (or at least more favorably skewed). It'd be interesting to look at this hero's winrates and other statistics, like winrates (or attempts anyway) with HRW, verus other hero matchups, etc. Just to see how this and other opinions of some of the heroes hold up against the numbers.

This DLC is a fantastic addition to the world of Armello that adds in four very diverse and unique heroes who shake up the gameplay in new and creative ways that 'cause one to adapt and plan for more possibilites. Each hero's power grants them a powerful advantage when properly used, with some more combat and spell focused, while others are more often tactical in nature that can be used to slow down other players and let you take the lead. Furthermore, this DLC comes with four new clan rings that may or may not be suitable to you. It all depends on one's playstyle after all.
Furthermore, the quality present for each hero is simply fantastic and one can often notice small details that add life to each hero, say Elyssia's tools. The animations themselves are a treat to witness in action and give insight into each hero's personailty, while the dialogue options are some of the best in the realm of Armello and can lead to some fun or deadly conversations.
In my opinion, this DLC is easily worth the price asked for, and is a must have addition to any Armello fan in part for variety and the quality of the heroes offered. To say nothing of just how fun they can be to pay once you've figured out the style that best suits you. In the end, only you can decide if you wish to purchase it or not, but for now have a little bubble tea for making it this far and perhaps we'll clash in the realm of Armello.
