So content rich that it will be a breeze to run this adventure. The tokens, the treasure, the encounters, and ... Whew so cool and worth the price for the massive 5e adventure. Thanks smite works.

So far, this is the best written adventure for D&D 5th edition. Double the length of each of the Tyranny of Dragons adventures (Hoard of the Dragon Queen/Rise of Tiamat), there is plenty to do and it is well worth the money. This also includes the Elemental Evil Player's Companion, which includes new races and spells.

I really wanted to give this module a good review. Unfortunately, I just can't. I'd like to separate two things, the story and the module. The story itself is pretty good, with rich lore and a fair amount of backstory pertaining to the quest. However, the module is put together rather haphazardly. We've been trying to get this campaign off the ground for the last couple of weeks. We started with the Adventures in Red Larch side quests to get us leveled from 1-3 before the main adventure. Unfortunately, unless you know the entire campaign as the GM, it's nigh on impossible to navigate the module when your party makes a choice about where to go. Fundamentally, it comes down to poor linking and searchability. The module might tell you that your players main choices are to investigate A, B, or C. However it doesn't link to A, B, or C, and when you find the generic entry for those places it is without context and often doesn't provide the information you need to continue the adventure. The general excuse I see for this is that it's a "player driven" investigation. But my experience is that the players get burned out very fast without some level of direction. Further, many of the NPCs are not built correctly. Attack and Damage rolls don't function properly (can't target the party) so the outcome of said rolls has to be manually reconciled. This module simply does not provide the GM the tools needed to succeed. It's a module that require the GM to be intimately familiar with the story, which is scattered throughout various chapters and exceptionally hard to follow in any coherent manner. We're one session into the main quest, and even after investing all of this effort I think we're going to have to scrap it and start something else. I cannot recommend this module in good conscience.

This is probably the best 5e campaign on FG right now (October 26th, 2015). It is more sand-boxy than Out of the Abyss, and includes a ton of monster, map, story content. I have the physical book, and find myself researching more during off-time from my fantasy grounds account, rather than from the actual book. Tons of content. Very high quality implementation. Story is a breeze to put together with these tools. My only complaint: I wish that all of the monsters included in the campaign also had their MM tokens/images. I guess this is FG's way of incentivizing buying the MM on FG, but it's a bummer to have a nice little encounter with letter tokens. I typically find something online and edit the token manually. But then again, maybe I should stop being cheap and buy the MM.
