This game is OK, its one of those games you play once and forget about it.

Rough gem, but still a gem. Short and sweet, etc. Biggest annoyances are the lack of a photo/no-hud mode and the mismatched vertical and horizontal sensitivity with the mouse.

Short but sweet exploration game. Combat and puzzles deliberately easy and chill which adds to the atmosphere which is Valley's main selling point. It encourages you to go play it, finish it, get off your smelly chair, go out there and hug a tree.

Good linear play, cool graphics. recommend for those who want a game to turn your mind off or a game for the lore nerds!

8.5 / 10 Rating
Wonderful game overall, would recommend to anyone. High production value, attention to detail and love poured in to it.
This is a difficult piece of art to sum up.
The Valley is a linear first person exploration game, that emphasizes speed, has minor puzzles, an exceptionally well crafted atmosphere and a good background story.
The graphics, level design, exploration, sound effects, VFX, music, voice over and story are all 8-10 (out of 10). The wonderful music is queued up at the right moments which fully adds to the current experience. The game starts out incredibly slow, only adding suit powers that don't do much then finally really switching things up gameplay wise during the last 20% of the game.
My only gripe is depending on the type of player you are, the game play (exploration / speed)suffers. I fully get this a game of exploration coupled with speed (the suit gives you fast running speed) which is a great combination. Said combination pairs poorly with finding speed suit upgrades / coins in chests that are off the 90% linear path of the game. For the explorer and find all of the things part of me, this made me slow down / back track instead of sustaining the speed and moving forward (enjoying the main aspect of the game). Said coins do open an area (a door in a pyramid) which I was three coins short of having.
I believe the solution to the problem I experienced above is that once you complete the game you can go back and continue to explore the levels (collecting said coins) that you have already played.

If you need to customize your key bindings then you need to launch the game from your library in steam via the play button. Doing so brings up a configuration dialog that has two toggle panes - graphics / keybinds
