One of the best games I played this years, period. Cave knows how to make shmups, and this one is one of their best work. On of the hardest games out there for sure, but it also has a somehow gentle learning curve, and can be enjoyed by absolutely anyone irregardless. Some tips: disable G-Sync and V-Sync, enable Low Latency, to reduce that pesky input lag. Also get some guides about how to play and how to super-shot to get the best out of this gem

Of all the Shmups I played, Mushihimesama is truly special. The game's stunning visuals and hypnotic soundtrack are captivating. The first thing I noticed was the art direction. The game's landscapes, filled with towering insectoid creatures, give it a unique identity that sets it apart from the usual sci-fi or military-themed shooters. Flying through these worlds on the back of a giant beetle and dodging bullet patterns is a great experience. Mushihimesama is easy to pick up but hard to master. There are three types of shots, which allow for different play styles. There are also multiple difficulty levels, so both new players and experienced bullet hell fans will find something to enjoy. The different modes and training options Are great for both beginners and experienced players. What keeps me coming back is the sense of achievement. When I finally defeat a tough boss or perfectly dodge an attack, I feel a sense of satisfaction that I've never felt before. Every mistake is my own, and every victory is hard-earned. If you like bullet-hell shooters, even if you've never played one before, you'll love Mushihimesama.

One of my favorite Shmups from Cave. I was never great at it, but this new version has plenty of options to practice. Hoping to put some more time into it. Really wish we could get a deluxe port of my favorite Cave game: Dodonpachi Daioujou.

Classic shmup with a high quality port. It has a novice mode for beginners, an arrange for intermediates, and the original ultra mode for pros. Definitely a worthwhile buy for anyone interested in shmups.
