Great game, slow and tactical paced. Too bad it died...

May not be perfect, but it is loads of fun for what it is. Watch the trailers, if you like what you see, it is what you will get.

People sometimes wonder why team based tactical third person shooters stop being popular. High skill, low margin of error and the cost of making mistakes can be high. This can run players away but if done well this type of game can be very awarding however if done poorly you get Thunder Tier One.
I’ve only ever played the singleplayer so that is what this review will be center around. The “AI” ruins this game plain and simple. The bad AI kills any and almost all enjoyment that you can get from this game. First the friendly AI will actively not follow orders, I can stop right there. How be you execute any sort of plan or tactic if simple orders will not be followed? Your squadmates will do any and everything save what you’ve asked. They will run in front of your barrel. They will turn their back to the enemy while being actively engaged. You cannot issue ROE to fire at will, AI will only return fire. They do not know how to clear a room. One person will breach a room and just stand in the middle of the room. They do provide any type of assistance to each other unless one of them is downed. I could go on and on but you get the idea, friendly AI bad.
The enemy AI is just as bad. They never operate as a unit but a group of individuals. Using numbers to overwhelm you which will lead you to use cheesy tactics like funneling and kiting.
Long story short is that this is not a good game. I could talk about the gameplay and story but fixing those things and not dealing with the AI would not change much.
