Don't waste your money on this or The Rise of Tiamat. The Tyranny of Dragons adventure has been released as a complete and re-balanced adventure, making the earlier two products now a pointless purchase. More so since the price of both is still £15 for some reason. It is a little disappointing that you cannot get a discount on the combined re-release if you own one, or both of the adventures previously and want the re-balancing etc.

It just keeps getting better! This is a great addition to my lib. Having all the maps, encounters, tokens, etc, ..., and it was is a small price to pay. This is the way to go if your a DM or a player trying to get the back story. (the complete text of the module so watch for the spoilers). Love that Fantasy ground took the lead in rescuing the tool-set from its demise and they are doing an awesome job! Can not wait for the next module! keep up the great work in having it 100% pure D&D.

I had the hardcopy of the module that I used for our group when we started out using Roll20.net. But due to technical issues with that service (and my burning desire to turn my players into fans of Fantasy Grounds), I bought the module and converted the players to FG. We run the game without tactical combat, so the maps aren't much of a use to us. However, I've played around with them, and the encounters that are listed in the text are all set up on the maps, so all the DM/players need to do is figure out where they are on the map and everything is good to go. It IS a little jarring to come from the hardcover to the hyperlinked version of the module, due to the flexibility of flipping pages versus skimming the column of text for the proper sections. However, the relevant jumps are all hyperlinked, making it easier to move through the module in FG than it is in the hardcover. The module comes with the illustrations from the hardcover to use as handouts, and the maps have both player (unlabeled) and DM (labeled) versions. It also includes some additional maps that were created by the FG developers for those ad hoc random encounters.
