Let me tell you something, this game does not have a lot to do. (YET) The game is in Early Access for a reason. Please, my best suggestion is to appreciate the game by exploring and trying to 100% it rather than rushing to level 20 (current Max level.) There are 4 classes and plenty to do if you just enjoy the game with friends or solo. Theres a road map that details all of the new content that is planned before and after the official release in the next year. Have Fun (give it a try.)

After 37.9 hours played, a fully geared Level 20 Priest, and a Level 13 Mage, I can easily recommend Farever. It's still Early Access, but the game already has a solid foundation. The visuals are great, it's easy to get into, and the gameplay loop keeps you coming back. It can be a bit grindy at times, but that's expected for this genre and never felt excessive. The classes, skills, talents, and progression systems offer a good amount of depth without becoming overwhelming. With 4 classes currently available, there's already enough variety to try different playstyles. As a dad with limited gaming time, I especially enjoy that the game is relaxing to play. It's not overly difficult, progression feels rewarding, and it's easy to jump in for a session after a busy day. That said, there is still plenty of room for improvement. The multiplayer and party systems currently feel fairly limited and could use more functionality. I would love to see more social features, better party management tools, and easier ways to find and connect with other players. At times the world can feel a little empty, even when playing an online game. Overall, Farever has a lot of potential, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it evolves throughout Early Access.

Cute little MMO. Class depth is quite deep once you get into it. World is far bigger than I thought it was. Bosses are interesting. Played boss as both solo and group, found some great group play aspects. Honestly with more content this could be a banger of an MMO.

Great game, they try to balance well, game is a bit difficult, which is good cause it might be boring otherwise. with Coop the open world becomes very easy. After reaching max level basic mobs feel pointless to fight, they should drop more materials for crafting maybe? Overall, great game for $20 it's a very good deal, lots of content and variety for the price. Performance.... not great for what graphic detail it offers. My 3080ti running full tilt... still get frame drops. I think this might be the biggest issue at the moment, limiting playability for a wider audience.

Great game. Will update to positive review if they ever actually optimise it.

I don't typically play EA games but here I am. This game has the best levelling experience ever in any MMO I've played. Simplicity of the mechanics, rather chill questing/events/activities and healthy dose of jumping puzzles give this game an edge. I keep hearing how other games rewards exploration from gamers & critics. Almost of all of them are non-sense buzzwords to my ear. Not in Farever. I spent over an hour to find a dungeon in a tight space as I explore several different space in a mountain filled with many different activities. That's what I call an exploration. Didn't get bored or frustrated as I fail to find the dungeon. Well done to the developers. If you're a gamer and enjoy single/multiplayer games, this is a very good one. You'll get your money's worth. It comes with its own issues though (for now hopefully). Optimization is really bad. Making my GPU work to the max and not providing enough FPS (120 avg.). As it is EA, it's rough around the edges. Social aspect of the game is dead. No auction house. Some design choices are extremely questionable with how they're slowing the player down for no reason (specific dungeon mechanics, water breathing, movement speed debuff, etc). I've been very critical with my in game feedback to the devs. I have give them their flowers in public though. I bought this game for its potential but it has delivered instant value. Don't think twice on this one if it's on your radar. Costs less than a month of WOW sub, lol. We'll see whether it becomes great or not but the foundation is there.

Bought it and played 3 hours straight! Feels like a game from an era of games long forgotten, areas simple yet interesting to explore, with secrets etc. Doesn't hold your hand too much, expects you to experiment with classes weapons etc and has many mounts and collectibles for you to get. Still in very early access tough, so expect lag sometimes and a somewhat barren world. Beautiful views though. Combat feels rewarding. I hope for more classes, weapons etc in the future!

Really enjoying this game. The EA version of it is already incredibly fun and their roadmap sounds fantastic. A content update is scheduled for later this month and I'm definitely excited for what's to come because what's here has already given me plenty of playtime. I have 2 of the 4 current classes @ lvl 20 and enjoyed the time spent working towards that. 2 more classes I could play to enjoy the experience further and already at almost 100 hours. Definitely worth the price. Highly recommend it.

The game has a lot of nuances, but that does not make it bad. And honestly, there is not much to complain about yet, because the game is still in early access and it is still far from the final product. In my opinion, the core idea is really good. Everything else will depend on how the developers handle the game and what direction they choose to take it in. I will start with the negatives: The world feels empty, and the game seriously lacks NPCs. The world does not really have its own lore yet. At the start, you are just shown a couple of images about the lore, and that is basically it. Poor optimization: even on a 5070 Ti and low settings, performance drops happen pretty often, and the average FPS stays around 40–60. There are bugs during combat. Even though the combat itself feels really good, sometimes damage does not register, or a skill misses even when it is clearly aimed at the target. There is very little interaction between players. Together, you can basically only run dungeons and grind mobs while leveling, and that is about it. NPC quests are not very interesting. They are usually just “bring 10 scales” or “kill 10 mobs.” Now for the positives: Very responsive combat. Good variety of builds and weapon combinations. A lot of freedom for the player; the game does not hold your hand. Interesting boss mechanics. Simple and intuitive progression.

After more than 300 hours in Farever, effectively no lifing this game, I feel like I've earned the right to speak on what this game does well and where it still has room to grow. To fully understand the game's systems, classes, and build diversity, I leveled and played 2 Warriors, 2 Priests, 2 Rogues, and 2 Mages. I didn't do this simply to collect characters—I wanted to experience each class at its fullest potential, being someone who is heavy into PVP, and competitive aspects of PVE, I found it important that I test different builds, and gain a thorough understanding of every aspect of the game. Because of that, I feel confident saying that Farever already offers an impressive amount of depth for a game that is barely in Early Access. Is it perfect? No. There are bugs, server instability at times, balance adjustments, and systems that clearly have room for expansion. But that's exactly what Early Access is for, and the difference here is that the developers are actively engaged with the community. We receive frequent updates, weekly patches, and consistent communication about what they're working on. As a player, it's refreshing to feel like the people making the game genuinely care about improving it and keeping the community informed. (Being a player who is coming from games like Elder Scrolls Online, Diablo 2-4, Path of Exile 2, I can appreciate the frequent updates and communication that at times these larger companies lack, obviously not GGG) What's even more impressive is the value. Farever costs only $18, which honestly feels absurd considering how much content is already available. I've spent hundreds of hours exploring builds, farming gear, experimenting with different class combinations, helping other players, and finding new things to do. I've paid far more money for games that offered far less entertainment. There is still a tremendous amount of planned content and room for growth. What we're playing now feels like the foundation of something much bigger, and if the developers continue on their current path, I believe Farever has the potential to become something truly special, and will impact the gaming world in a very positive way. This game won't be for everyone. Some players may not enjoy the grind, the progression systems, the art style, or the old-school action RPG design philosophy. But for those who appreciate a solid action RPG with meaningful progression, build experimentation, and developers who actively listen to their community. To the developers: thank you for creating an amazing game and for the passion you've shown throughout development. Thank you for the transparency, the weekly patches, and the willingness to engage with your players. You've earned my support, and I look forward to supporting, and seeing where this journey goes. I'll be here for the ride. In its current state with the bugs, and all things considered currently I would rate it a 8/10 If the developers actually follow through on the road map, and things they have planned it will be a 10/10 NEXT UPDATE 6/19/2026 (With regards to a comment I received on this review from BowKill) That's a fair point Bow, and I could absolutely go into the details of the game mechanics, progression systems, group content, crafting, etc. but there are already plenty of videos and guides on youtube that break those systems down to details better than my words could. My review was written more from the perspective of someone who has spent significant amount of time with the game and wanted to discuss the overall experience, expectations, and direction of the project rather than providing a feature by feature breakdown. Another reason I didn't focus heavily on specific systems is because Farever is still cooking. Many of the mechanics, progression, and content offerings are actively being adjusted, expanded on, and reworked. So as of now anything I write today may not reflect where the game will be in a few months from now. Furthermore I have decided to step away from the game for the time being, allowing it more time to develop, given that I have exhausted all the current content available. Once the game evolves a bit more I intend on revisiting and updating my review. If there is one criticism I'd like to add, its that I expected the communication from the developers throughout this cycle to be a little more transparent and it seems there has been a mix up in the details for their next content update. They mentioned a large content update at the end of this month (June 2026) to the game, and now that in turn has been changed to an opportunity to 'beta-test' this next region, and upcoming systems before they are fully implemented. Which is unfortunate given that none of the character progression will carry over to the main version of the game, and we also have yet to receive a solid date on when this content will actually be added to the main game. One of the harsh realities of playing an Early Access title. They have an amazing long-term vision for the game, I will have a lot more to say as it comes along with regards to progression, endgame, and overall depth. For now I will just leave it at that, its too early to properly assess any further than what I have already said. Updated rating of the game at this point would be 7.0/10
