It's one of the best videogame tools of all time.
You have a engine. You make a game with no coding. You get results - the results can be VERY presentable!
It made people really think outside the box. It's a upgraded 2000 engine, but it still feels like it's own thing. I love it! 320x240 goodness with MP3 support?
This tool is perfect for getting into making an actual videogame. Literally perfect!

Great sophware for story or Rpg games. If you have a creative vision that doesn't require too novel of gameplay I'd highly recommend this. If anything the restraints make it better.

Even if you're not very good at game design, it's fun to tool around with. I may only have 25 minutes on the Steam version, but I have almost 100 hours played on the non-Steam version I had two computers ago.

Gotcha Gotcha Games will soon be shutting down and deleting the RPG Maker forums, erasing a decade and a half of user made resources, tutorials, and assets for the wider community to use and learn from. I don't recommend anyone purchase their releases because they show so little disregard for the community and its history.
