10/10 classic otome game. I love how it handles parallel universes. This makes playing a new route extra fun because previous knowledge you have may not apply. This has now become one of my comfort games because there are plenty of cute moments (though this also depends on which world you go to). It also has a fair amount of mystery and suspense, which I enjoy greatly. Orion is an absolute dear and only has the protagonist's best interests at heart, which is really reassuring, especially when things get dicey (*cough* the cage *cough*). I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who is familiar with the otome genre, and also to those who are interested in learning more. In general, I think it's a good starting game because each of the characters follows a general troupe that is commonly seen in otome. However, some routes do deal with some heavier topics, so if you feel uncomfortable with certain topics, please look up any warnings ahead of time. In any case, this game has become a certified classic for me, and I wish that I could play it for the first time again and discover what the world of Amnesia holds.

my brain literally disconnected past the
cage scenario
in toma's route- I was mashing my mouse so fast and before I knew it I have reached the good ending (if that's even considered good!? I don't even know anymore), what the hell I just wanted it to end ;D rubbed me the wrong way for some reason

I love this game. It's so interesting and so much fun. Lots of crazy stuff happens, but it's all worth it in the end. This was my first Otome game and I still replay it because it is THAT good. Shin and Kent are my favorites. Ikki is pretty nice, too but don't love his fan club. Toma and Ukyo are kind of hard to like, but their routes make the game what it is. And, there are some good points. Just a lot of messed up stuff, too.

I am an unapologethic fan of this game, it was more the anime originally, until i *embarassingly* late found out the game's existence. It was the QUICKEST purchase i've ever made, lol. in the course of 3 days i managed to 100% it, the narrative is very good, it goes pretty fun and engaging, each character is quite well written, very different from one another, so makes up for nice divergent experiences [eh...except for toma, i'm not into yanderes at all, sorry toma fans! he's not all terrible specially for being self-aware but not my cup of tea]. i love the art too, it is beautiful, the music also is very nice, whole aesthetics give me a bit of frutiger aero feelings. i remember the anime years ago giving me depression 2.0 with Ukyo's situation, man it hurts lol I really hope the other games get a steam port... personal opinion: Kent is my favourite, but Ukyo is the best *pat pat* Also why can't we bang the manager? end of text-
For science, for memes, for trauma. A cult classic among unhinged otome lovers.
Amnesia™: Memories is the kind of game that makes you ask, “Is this a romance, a psychological thriller, or a fever dream with pretty boys?” The answer is yes. Let’s be honest: by all narrative and game design standards, this thing is a glorious dumpster fire. But it’s my dumpster fire. The plot is nonsensical, the protagonist has the personality of a soggy rice cake, and your choices can feel like the universe is rolling dice behind your back, but wow, the ride is unforgettable. You're an amnesiac girl accompanied by a floating spirit-faerie named Orion, who sounds like a hyperactive balloon animal and won’t. stop. talking. Your job? Get your memories back and survive being stalked, gaslit, or gently kidnapped by your chosen love interest (each one lovingly handcrafted from one or more red flags). And yet, somehow, you’ll find yourself swooning. Or cringing. Or both. Sometimes at the same time. The art is stunning, with loads of CGs, the music slaps (the opening song still lives rent-free in my head), and every route is its own bizarre, twisted soap opera. Shin? Classic tsundere. Ikki? Brainwashed fangirl harem leader. Kent? Sexy math robot. Toma? Oh honey… who hurt you?. And Ukyo? One of the most iconic
yandere
boys in otome history. You’ll either hate them, love them, or start ironically loving them until you realize you don’t know irony anymore. The mini-games are thankfully optional, 2 fandisks exist on other platforms, and yes, you’ll need to finish all good endings to unlock the final “Oh THAT’s what’s happening” twist. It won’t really explain the plot, but it will give you closure (kind of like putting a lid on a blender full of confetti and trauma). This game is peak “I can fix him” simulator and a perfect guilty pleasure. It’s a rite of passage for any otome enjoyer, best served with a sense of humor, zero shame, and a glass of something strong.
