It's an okay cut chapter from Half-Life 2. Story wise it clearly takes place somewhere along Highway 17 as a pace breaker and I can see why it was cut. The combat being on the side of a hill going up is an interesting choice though not very well manicured and what you actually have to do is just a retread of water hazard's helicopter fight and a not very well explained puzzle were you pick up a piece of wall and jam it into a machine. Why are you even here again? To show off the new lighting I guess. 5/10

Neat little experience, but here's a neat lil thing for the owners of the game who haven't figured it out already. This game... has NO INVISIBLE WALLS. You can go anywhere you can stand if you have a basic level understanding of the physics and parkour. I've made it to the buildings across the bay, the village, the roofs of the church and surrounding buildings. Very neat. Try it if you haven't.

TLDR: World-class legendary tech demo that's a blast to play through. Pros: - Valve showcasing the Source engine in a succinct 1-level Half-life experience - Visuals still hold up today - Really well designed level with vertical firefights - Ahead of its time developer commentary mode Cons: - None
