Fun game. Short and sweet. Classic point and shoot boomer shooter. The comic panels are cool and funny, give you Max Payne vibes. Game is very direct and to the point, there is no complicated narrative, the story is just there a vehicle to take the player from point a to point b. This game is really cheap and has a cool/creepy environment. 100% worth buying ON SALE.

Quite interesting FPS. The art style and gameplay are super appealing (I suck at it because there is no map) Nevertheless - super fun game.

I love the style and grit of this game. The weapons are nice too - hoping for a Tec 9, a Cobray Terminator or a Street Sweeper in the sequel. Could definitely use a chainsaw and a flaregun too. My criticisms are focused on the combat. It's very simple, basic and unfortunately much too easy. The vast majority of fights happen on the same plane as you. I can really only think of a few rare instances where badguys were on a different plane than me and I needed to look up or down to attack them. All the enemies go down very quickly so I really did not get a good sense for which guns were "stronger" than others. I'm assuming the shotgun packed a punch because, well, it's a shotgun, but even the nailgun was capably wrecking badguys even in the late game. There is no armor in the game to dampen damage but health pickups are plenty. In my entire time playing I only died a few times and it was to the later bosses. I don't think I ever got below 50% health during game outside of those instances. In the sequel I'm hoping for a wider enemy variety, and the implementation of skill levels. For the price though, it's a pretty good deal. Overall it was a fun experience, even though it won't terribly challenge most players.

I'm the trash man. I come out, I throw trash all over the ring! And then I start eating garbage, and then I pick up the trash can and I bash the guy on the head!

yikes. played this game for approximately six minutes but that was more than enough time to pass FINAL judgement and more than enough time to spitefully spend more than six minutes writing this snarling review. beware: i'm well written but disorganized in my thoughts due to the frustration this brief but dismal experience has plagued me with. where to even begin (when one only played the beginning of the beginning): the map-clipping and bizarre trash-can-smashing mechanic for items (that only works on some trash cans whilst others are just there to be destroyed or cannot even be approached due to bizarre clipping issues)...the overpowered and repetitive enemies...not hard, but no strategy required: hit, get hit in return, run to avoid second hit. rinse and repeat. the trailer made it feel like a combination of blood and even a dash of Redneck Rampage (in a good way, although dead trash IS similar in its overall failure at what it attempts to achieve. absolute mer) with the graphics of a sophisticated 90s railshooter (like arcade Area 51 games)...this was NOTHING like that. finally, the retro "feel" evokes horror in the modern audience... I own and have played a myriad of retro FPS and boomer shooters since their inception (decades before the coin 'boomer shooter' was even termed)...i mention boomer shooters not because this game is one (it absolutely isn't) but because it borrows a lot from earlier games of the genre but i digress (as i always do). i may dislike a great deal of new retro-styled FPS games that fail to capture the feel of the classics they emulate but it is rare for me to quit and demand refund within ten minutes because the dev has obviously missed the point of what their own game should be and how important the beginning is when engaging a new player to a new property by an indie developer (c'mon man, i only play games and i know this sh1t3). This game is worth 0.99 at most with the disclaimer that its a vanity project/early beta/a meta joke or a first attempt at some semblance of a game. i don't mean to be harsh but the quality of this game is such that a mere $3 bucks is asking three times too much. if you really want this game, get it on fannatical on sale as part of one of their featured bundles...even then, i'd say stay the fugaway. even if i gave this game the benefit of the doubt and played for another few hours - the glaring issues with the horrendous map design, unforgiving clipping (one seemingly cannot approach closer than 1 meter to any non-destructible object or structure)...even if the gameplay began to LOOK as good as the trailer, the actual FEEL of of the game and gameplay during the opening moments, arguably some of the most important moments to any game, (especially a hyper-violent FPS) FPS...crikey!) when all is bloody said and done, this game evoked the feeling/thought/disgust-pattern that can only be described as "brown"...no emotion or thought...just a colour , its related shades of defecation, and the unpleasantness that surrounds such concepts: brown. finally, because i am ancient and can't resist: "Dead Trash?" more like "Buy-Something-Else-Instead Trash"

Short and sweet boomer shooter with a great grimy setting can't go wrong for the price.

I want to like it strictly due to being blinded by nostalgia. Unfortunately it's just not very good. Besides level design being pretty poor and uninteresting, I often fell outside of the map in the middle of a level. The third time this happened and I realized I'd need to walk through the area again I could not tolerate it. Shooting is fine but guns are super typical. There just isn't much here. I get that it's really cheap and I don't need something to blow my mind but I was hoping for maybe a little something more profound or an interesting mechanic due to the nature of it being an experimental indie game.

many parts of this game are great, BUT mouselook is ABYSMAL and makes the game not very fun to play. If that got fixed this game would be quite good
