Fun game, and the nightmare levels are very challenging. Havent passed all the bonus levels, only two left. I enjoyed it a lot. I`ll recommend it.

The art style and soundtrack are cool, and the gameplay is pretty good, but it's too impractical to be a paid game. It seems more like something you'd play on kongregate when you got a couple of hours to kill. Figuring out a level takes about 1 minute, and then it's just hoping you don't screw up the platforming (And if you're playing on nigtmare or going for all brains, Morgan Freeman bless you.) The levels go one at a time, so if you're stuck, you can't do anything, unlike games like Super Meat Boy where if you're stuck, you at least have another level to play. Overall, the concept is cool, the art and soundtrack were pretty good, but the gameplay was executed poorly. 5/10

This is one of the most frustrating games I have ever played. That is not entirely bad. I got through the game a few levels a day, since that was about all I could take. I thought there was 15 levels and I was OK with that, but it turned out to be 60 levels, with 10 bonus levels. In 15 hours I completed all 60 with 3 stars (one for completion, one for all brains and one for beating the time) and a few of the bonus levels, with a few levels completed on nightmare difficulty. That's right, a difficulty that is just off the charts. Needless to say, the difficulty is not for everyone and I got my money's worth without trying the extreme frustration level. So even skipping like half the game, it is well worth buying and I highly recommend it.

-- Six important points about Deadlings: Rotten Edition -- 1) The title music is insanely cool! 2) A lot of reviews compare this to 'Super Meat Boy' and 'Plants VS Zombies'. Those a rubbish comparisons. Deadlings is a side-scrolling puzzle platformer: you evaluate the level, decide which zombies are best at each task, then you set them running into the level (inputting single commands like jumping, but never directional input). This game is immensely more like 'Lemmings' and a little bit like 'Braid' and other less-manic puzzle-platformers. 3) The fact this game isn't like those other famous titles is not an insult. This game is a great little gem! As you progress, the game expands on your options and the depth of the puzzles. I highly recommend not worrying about good scores initially and instead try to clear levels, otherwise you won't see much of the game's brilliant concepts for a long while. 4) This game is very much worth it's asking price, and it's an easy purchase when on sale! Few games are both this well made, and be within anyone's price range. Not perfect, but nothing that would really ruin your fun. 5) You can only unlock one level at a time, by completing the previous level. If you are stuck, this game doesn't offer you much else to do. This is the game's one major flaw. 6) There's also a weird interaction that 'Bonebag' (your fast-running zombie that jumps) will literally explode if he runs into a wall or clips into the side of a platform. It makes sense from a gameplay-design perspective, but is visually doesn't make sense and it's infuriating to behold! Just a minor flaw but when puzzle games can be taxing on your patience, you REALLY notice stuff like that! Especially since everything else in the 'Rotten Edition' is so crisp and well designed! -- MY RATING: 8.7 -- Get it cheap, play it little-and-often, and enjoy!

I really enjoyed playing the game. If possible I am always trying to go for 100% achievements in games and some of the 3 star challenges really gave me a hard time here. It takes about 15 hours to finally reach that goal, which in my opinion is totally fine for 4€ (or even less in sales).

This game is fun and challenging. The graphics to are pretty brill for the size of the game and having trading cards and achievements is brill aswell as it adds more off a challenege to collect them all, despite how challenging the game actually is. The game could do with a bit more guidance as at time it is confusing and takes a lot of time to get right! Saying that however the price of the game is brill at less then 3 quid but at the moment its only 69p so get it now and try it!

I am recommending this game because it is very well done, and probably fun if you like this type of game. I wish they had made it more clear that this is not a standard platformer. I probably just didn't pay enough attention. Picture a mobile game where you are running right constantly and can only jump. It's kind of like that, but much deeper, and one zombie can jump, another can stick to surfaces and loops around platforms (there may be more than 2 types). You cannot turn around and run the other way, at least with the two zombies I tried. You choose which zombie to use and which way to start running at the beginning of each attempt at the level. The puzzles are clever, but do take a lot of trial and error. If you like puzzle games, i'ts defintely worth the money.

An awesome puzzle-platformer game. To beat the 70+ levels, you'll first need to figure out the approach to tackle them, and then reach the exit. There's enough diversity in the levels, and some act as tutorials for some new mechanics that are gradually introduced. For me, the puzzle sections aren't really that hard, but some of the platforming sections are. However, this game has simple controls. For each deadling, you only use one button for control. One deadling walks, two use jumps (but one stick to the walls) and another fly. This last one i find quite annoying to control, t's like flappy bird, but much better. Even at full price, the lenght and variety of this game make it worth. Last, i need to adress two bonus levels: 3 and 10. Those were very hard for me to beat, because you need to control the flying deadling (the worst one) for a long time and you need to be very precise. A very cool indie to your library, especially on sale.

So i looked at the price and figured i'd give it a go, £2.00 well spent! You have different zombies with different skills, for instance one who just runs and jumps, one who slithers around walls one who flys with ass assistance ( farts ) etc. Get to the exits by unlocking doors using their different skills. Has some old school elements of timing your jumps as well. Some of the puzzles lead you into believing you need the wrong type of zombie so you will find yourself choosing the wrong one and then suddenly it clicks and you kick yourself for the 20 minutes you just wasted pointlessley. You get a rating ( up to 3 stars ) for your time and how many of your zombies you killed in the process, some levels allow you to expire a few zombies as it is neccesary, others will deduct stars from you for killing any of your zombies Seems to be very well made and i havent encountered any problems so far. plays very smoothly with the xbox pad. if you love puzzles/ platformers / zombies you cant go wrong - especially at the sale price.
