Baker's Agony is a cute and addictive humble game.
Control system is quite original and offers two different modes, one with the mouse (or right joystick) to manually control the slashing for the weapons (with different weights for each weapon) and an automatic one for the more lazy gamers (like myself). Manual mode is more rewarding, as it seems to deal more damage to the enemies, but is more complicated to maintain for long runs.
Gameplay is as you should expect for a nice dungeon roguelite (or roguelike, whatever...). If you enjoyed The Binding of Isaac, there is more content waiting for you here. High difficulty (for me, at least, but not as unforgiving as Isaac or other games, you can have some sense of progression in a few hours), lots of items and weapons and quirky and funny characters. Enough to keep me hooked for some quick gameplay sessions.
Graphically, the game has those nice retro home-made graphics that we old geezers love. All enemies are funny, but do not relax as they can be unforgiving. Most of them are bread/pastry inspired, so be careful if you are gluten intolerant. The music of the game is also surprisingly catchy.
TLDR: A cute and addictive game that has more to offer than you would think at first glance. Give it a chance!
