STAY AWAY!!! Trash P2W gacha. Every update is worse than the last and targeting only endgame whales. legendary crates only have a small percentage to actually drop legendaries, you'll usually get a blue. RNG is garbage, less than a percentage to attain anything actually decent. Everything about this game is pretty mid and anybody applauding it either hasn't played much before their review or is a glazer for the devs. player count is dropping continuously, which wouldn't happen if it were any good beyond winterfell.

it is a "free" game that requires alot of time for basic rewards. new update limits all your options to get better gear.

After playing quite some hours, I decided to delete it.
The game itself is not the best, but it is entertaining for a short time. This system of energy limitation, where you have either to pay or to wait a day until you can level up and progress in the story is annoying and pointless.
It is a smartphone game on desktop, which is even fine, nobody expected something like RDR2. It's still silly, though.
Basically pay to win, like many already said. It makes no sense.
Don't install, don't play it. You only waste time.

This game is amazing. Why there are any negative reviews is very questionable. Don't listen to them. For 1 its a free game. I even paid for the supporter pack the day before it was released so I actually paid for it. Well worth it.
Graphics - Amazing
Game mechanics - Amazing
Story - Amazing
The game is meant to be a long term game. Game of Thrones I believe. Guessing your gonna need to build your guys up and battle it out for a Throne of some kind. Idk kind of sounds like a game thats a long term grinding game where you manage resources and get stronger.
People complaining about Pay to win want a free game where they unlock everything in 2 weeks and never play it again because now there isn't enough content for them. All these games are like this. What exactly are they winning. They play the same game as you except spend a ton of money to do it. Sounds like they are the ones losing if you ask me.
Any way. The game is great. Easy to get in to and easy to learn. Great story to follow along and zone out. You can definitely appreciate the detail that went into creating this game.

I'm absolutely hooked on being in Westeros. Is it the greatest game of all time? No. Are there frustrating moments? Of course—like any game. But if you're looking to immerse yourself in the world of Game of Thrones, I haven't found a better option yet.

I’ve clocked just over 50 hours into Game of Thrones: King’s Road and I can confidently say it’s one of the better strategy RPGs I’ve played in a while—especially if you’re a fan of the series.
The core gameplay mixes political intrigue, war strategy, and house management in a way that feels really authentic to Westeros. You start off managing your own noble house, making choices about alliances, territory, and resources. But things escalate quickly. You’re dealing with rival houses, betrayals, random events, and hard decisions that shape your storyline.
Combat is tactical, not overly flashy, but satisfying—especially when you win a fight you were outnumbered in because you planned ahead. Diplomacy is a huge part too. You’ll find yourself forming alliances with houses you don’t trust just to survive, and it often blows up in your face… in the best way. It's very “Game of Thrones” in that sense: no one is safe, and loyalty is rare.
There are also RPG elements that let you shape your character and key members of your house. You can focus on being honorable, ruthless, manipulative—whatever fits your playstyle. The game rewards different approaches and has solid replay value because of that.
Presentation-wise, it looks great for the genre. The map of Westeros is detailed and easy to navigate. The writing is sharp and true to the tone of the books/show, and the soundtrack adds that extra weight to every major decision you make.
If you’re into deep strategy with a lot of player choice and love the Game of Thrones world, this one’s definitely worth the time. It’s not perfect—some pacing issues here and there—but it’s absolutely engaging and keeps you coming back for “just one more turn.”

If you like the Game of Thrones show or books and are a fan of RPG's like God of War or Assassin's Creed, this is the game for you... all while not being an exact copy. This game has some pretty unique and innovative characteristics in the gameplay and menus.

TLDR: There are better Netmarble F2P games out there that provides more depth in gameplay, player community activities and combat variety. "GoT:Kingsroad" is probably one of the weaker games they have released.
Combat is simple. Mostly a two button game, which switches up what combo chain is being performed depending how many times it is clicked in succession. While skill-based parry might help in combat, upgrades in gear and level will by far out weight any skill.
E.G. You can be under level by a few "momentum points" and spend 10~20 minutes perfect parrying every single attack from a boss fight to avoid a 1-hit KO. However, if you upgrade your gear to match their recommended power level, you can complete the same fight in under 5 minutes without fear of dying at all.
After 10 hours of active gameplay progression, I started to get bored of what the game had to offer. The combat rotation was the same for me no matter what fight I was engaged in. Whether it was a boss fight, tearing down a bandit camp, etc. it was always the same tactics and patterns.
The story is not appealing to me, we're placed roughly in the middle of the story where a few major plot points have already occurred. Since I already have read the books and watched the HBO series, the hero’s journey in this game does not seem to be significant enough to merit its own story within the universe of GoT.
The game is mostly responsive, the only issue is when the game server's connection fails either booting the player offline, or having the enemies frozen in place. I checked my network data logs, there weren’t any issues on my end with the ISP.
The game server also has issues maintaining a stable data connection, often disconnecting and reconnecting my character within a split second. Upon reconnecting it would reaffirm all the previous quest and achievements I have completed.
With the early access pre-season over, server connectivity issues have increased and are quite apparent. Contacting customer support is a futile effort as they would assume no responsibility and assume all players are playing on mobile and recommend staying within a stronger WiFi signal. I'm playing on a PC connected through home fiber-optic internet. Enemies would teleport around the map, HP bars of the enemy would jump between half health back to full HP. This occurs 100% of the time during specific Wall Expedition battles, especially with the wolves. Connection errors occurs 25% with other combat missions, e.g. during the daily “Economics of Combat” in Old Town.

This game was so close to being good it hurts.. They messed it up with an insane style of pay to play and pay to progress and its oppressing.. The game isnt worth the money and I dhighly recommend you save your money and dont buy it.. I already have it so I am still gonna play it but I will get to a point where I wont play it anymore because I'll have to pay... It's insanely grindy and they restrict your daily progress. The combat mechanics are fun and the story is ok but the more you play the worst the game gets..

-Recent update broken world boss and certain main story quest, fully blocking a lot of people from story progression or just plainly doing the world boss. While this issue was present for more than few weeks,..only week or so Devs acknowledged the issue. And still not a single world about the fix.Makes you wonder if the game is even a priority for the company.
-Too many bugs varying from not getting your purchases to plainly not able to progress the main storyline. A lot of the bugs have been introduced with the updates and never addresses..
-very bad customer service...
-Time limit on a lot of fights and quests, which stops you from progressing and requires the grind to increase character strength or just investment in their store to avoid the grind...
-P2W
-Customer service is a joke. the only response you will get is that this issue will escalated and ticket will be closed, and that after at least a week of waiting for response. If you gonna loose things because of the bugs, this will not even be acknowledged and ticket will be closed...
