I honestly think I put more effort into recording a 23 minute video of this lazily cobbled together pile of asset trash than the developer put into the actual cobbling together of his Unity Store assets.

Yet another digital pile of 'Survival Game' fecal matter that will NEVER get finished or be anything besides the pile of garbage it it right now. ..It's not worth the 3.5 GB of hard drive space, much less the $5 USD price tag.

It's WAY too early to even be an EA game... Even though there's some good, I can't FULLY recommend it or say it's promising, yet... Though I do WANT to like it, I'll give it that much. For $3.99 you could buy and sit on it for a year so when they raise the price and add content you'll be a step ahead.
Steam, you need to put in some guidelines and goals for EA devs to meet... I'm all for EA and supporting devs as you go... But wow...
The Good: The Inventory/Build menus are nice, makes me think of Green Hell/The Forest. Same for the harvesting/gathering... Small things go in pack, big things have to be hand carried by hand, realistic. Tree cutting, Stone gathering are all smooth and feel good, Berry Bushes are nice (with an exception). Building seemed pretty good, basic but normal amount for EA for sure. Snapping and building was smooth, also reminds me of Green Hell/The Forest. Mobs drop good loot. Visually it was ok, while detailed in some ways it was scarce in others, and it's VERY sharp (not really a good thing). The character movement and interaction is nice as well... It would be nicer if there was something to interact with though. Which leads me into...
The Bad: The land is BARE aside from Trees... IF you can even find a POI (there's like 5 I found and they vary from 1-3 buildings, a satellite dish, a billboard, a camper, lookout towers and then there's the starting area. None of these are interactive, they're not fully there either - as in you walk through the walls, floors, and can't use the stairs or ladders - like a mirage... There's no items in buildings either, no vehicles or any other typical structures. It's just a never ending forest, and a shallow stream, when it does end its an invisible wall... MOBS are the ONLY source of loot so far. Half of the trees you can walk through, and only a slight handful are able to be cut down, which makes building a bit lengthy (they are highlighted a little bit so they're at least easier to find)... From what I saw the only gathering you can do is a Scrap Pile, Tree, Boulder, and Berry Bushes - great interaction to eat on the spot, but you cant gather them for later!!! Only saw Zombies and Dogs, no other "survivors" or Aliens in my hour of playing. The mobs to and from hitbox is horrid and they bounce off of your attacks, they also float when dead. The map is small I ran to 3 sides of it within 20 minutes looking for POI's, or any kind of structure/vehicle for that matter.
This is not worth actually playing right now...
To the devs, Don't touch the UI Menu/Inventory and character movement/interaction and building mechanics - You actually have something good there! The environment and EVERYTHING else needs 1000% work. This is not EA worthy and BARELY even a Tech Demo - It's more of a "Run Through Trees Simulator" at the moment. Other games that were worse overall in EA still had more content. Although I appreciate the low price, I refunded my $3.99. BUT after some thought I purchased it again to support you because I WANT to like it - but there's nothing really to "play" here... So it will sit for quite a while. I'll adjust my review if I see positive progress in the next few months.
EDIT UPDATE: After the Dev reply and at the current 4.99/3.99 sale price I'll recommend - pending more updates, but EA was released too early for sure. Good luck to you, I know it's a lot of work!
