Dont buy this game
-The promised Rollback Netcode is not working well.
-The game randomly slows down and speeds up again. That happens online and offline, in menus, in replays everywhere.
+Excellent combat tho. This is still my favourite fighting game of all time

I would love to recommend this game but only after SNK fixes it.

My favourite KOF title that SNK treats it like utter garbage by charging again for functioning netcode after more than a decade and delisting the version that most people had. The online is good now (even has useful UI features like showing active rooms before even needing to search them). However, the bad launch did its damage and people aren't going back to change their reviews : so more people won't be buying it . No one hates KOF more than SNK and the way they treat this franchise as a whole is a crime in and of itself.

as someone who's been playing this game competitively since 2012 and over 600 hours on the STEAM Edition.
I've endured the delay based netcode with steam edition and made it work with my training buddies but with the rise of rollback netcode all of us can only dream that KOF XIII would be finally blessed with rollback.
The annoucement of Global Match has made all of us very excited and eager to grind.
but that excitement quickly faded to denial as every 3 matches, our matches will get interrupted with a desync message
booting us back to lobby. Safari Games has no experience with rollback so I am very disappointed in SNK for not hiring Code Mystics (a very experienced group in rollback netcode) like they did with KOF 98 Ultimate Match.
This is a very unacceptable and discouraging, SNK.
This is my favorite Fighting Game of All Time, The Blood, Sweat and Tears I devoted into this game and sharing that love with others, I cannot do the same for this Version of the game until the Netcode is fixed.
Do Not Buy KOF XIII GM if you are expecting a smooth netplay experience.
