It's an extremely short horror game. Decently freaky for my taste. For a few bucks it's okay, I guess - there are better short horror games. I didn't enjoy it that much. Lukewarm negative review. Given the content of the game, the thumbnail art is a really weird choice.

A massive leap forward from their already interesting previous game (Its Just A Prank). The trailers and art style might lead one to believe this is a gimmicky and low-brow piece of jump scare trash, but nothing could be further from the truth. This game does exactly what you want a good narrative adventure game to do; it utilizes the unique modality of video games (as opposed to film or literature) to tell a meaningful story. That's it. It sounds easy but it is extremely difficult to do. The Hole is creepy and unsettling to play, yes. In that way it is accurate to call it a horror game. Like any [I]great[/I] horror media, though, it provides more than just scares. It leaves you wondering at the metaphors and messages. They convey some truly awful subject matter without being explicit. Again, as was the case with Its Just a Prank, their restraint is the most interesting part of the Bober Bros design ethos. If you like good horror or are a fan of narrative adventure games ("Walking Simulators") you have no reason to skip this one, especially at the price. The only gripe that I have is a minor spoiler: [SPOILER]Not every modern horror game has to have a P.T.-style repeating corridor sequence. It is already starting to feel like a bit of a tired trope. They use it pretty effectively, but I did roll my eyes when I realized what they were doing. It just feels unoriginal at this point.[/SPOILER]

HOLY, great horror game, really appreciate the chance of unlocking other endings whilst still playing the game and not having to restart, very unnerving and very creative with providing such thematic elements to show how disturbing reality really is, definitely worth the purchase.
