Well...let me start by saying this. The art style and design choices would not be my own, and I am a little confused by the extremely childish aesthetic in a game that's clearly meant to be at least mildly challenging/complex, but that's really where my gripes end because: This. Game. Is. FUN. The mishmash of hades and monster hunter components, together with the extremely tight and satisfying combat makes for a saucy stew I would recommend to any fans of the action roguelite genre. The boons and synergies are genuinely fun to play around with, and I have had a ton of fun figuring out what weapons and playstyles attract me the most. The weapons feel extremely different from one another, and each have their own identity that melds smoothly into the greater combat canvas. The meta progression and crafting offer plenty to sink your teeth into in a way that, if anything, exceeds the general scope of the game itself. For $20, you'd be hard pressed to find a more entertaining romp. The game doesn't seem to have a TON of content, and I have no idea if there are any plans to add to it over time (doubtful I think), but what it does, it does very well. Solid indie title, highly recommend.

An unfortunate series of choices leads to yet another Hades-like which doesn't play as good as it looks despite an interesting meta progression system. The enemy density is reasonable for a Hades game, but I often cannot translate what their actions are into their attacks even after they have done them. An attack will happen close or the enemy will leap from range I don't feel I know how we got here. When damaged up close I'm very frequently uncertain how I was damaged, or why I wasn't damaged in another case. More importantly, the game freezes the player before and after the attack for too long without the ability to cancel. Most of the weapons are slow and the forced changing moves from an interesting mechanic into something that forces you into playing with a less fun option. If the combat was just strategic or tactical that would be one thing, but Combined with the stamina meter, an excess number of traps crowding the battlefield, and enemy attacks that are not obvious the game becomes deliberate in a way that may work for Monster Hunter but not for the enemies presented here. You can't fight Hades monsters with Monster Hunter Attacks and have the same fun. It is hard to press my will because I cannot tell what the enemy is doing. There are many attacks I feel I cannot press nearly ever except as a "win more" attack when any button will work. The set of actions collapses into a limited forced pattern. Also The game also has a run button rather than giving the player the fastest speed and it is more buttons that I would like to press. The effects of locking an enemy are poorly rendered and not obvious. Blessings are so-so with few extra abilities and lots of + damage and + dot. The player doesn't really have the variety of different kinds of attacks as in a game like Hades even if the forced weapon switch gives them more actual attacks. Better predictability of enemy actions combined with increased attack speeds with cancels could greatly improve the game, but for now it lacks a fun factor that should be there.

Great rogue like. Gameplay is a combination of Hades for the camera angle and the bonus during the run and Monster Hunter for stamina management, positioning and craft. Fight looks like hades but instead of mashing your buttons, you have to think to proc your alterations (equivalent of boons) combos. You never mash, you play smart. I wish this game was longer.

BRO HOLY CRAP THIS IS FUN As an avid player of Roguelikes and a lover of Soulslikes, I am HAPPY with this game! It's a wonderfully cartoonish look at the genre - nothing too serious, limited story, all action, and BOY is that action great. This game is incredibly well balanced so far, and it's by far one of the most satisfying roguelikes I've gotten to play in a while. Looking forward to enjoying this more! EDIT: SOOOOOO good and it just keeps getting better! I was somewhat underwhelmed by the number of "blessing" and weapon types - a lot of the boosts to weapons and armor in particular just seemed kinda bland at first glance. But I stand happily corrected, as the specific boosts that each peace of armor or weapon give you are so well thought out to the point that it absolutely amazed me when I finally understood the builds I could make. It seemed like each weapon had its own subset of special skills - dual blades can deal more damage with each strike when upgraded, beetle weapons explode with every other attack, dragon weapons stun enemies faster, etc. etc. what I didn't know is that these affects STACK AND AFFECT ALL WEAPON ATTACKS. Got a dragon greatsword that stuns enemies quickly? Got a wolf spear that breaks enemy parts and deals extra damage to said broken parts? BAM the effects of both are present regardless of which weapon you use, and you turn into a heavy metal bruiser that can take out minibosses in 8 hits in some cases. This mechanic alone is a game-changer for me. It makes for so many possible builds that are viable that it seems like I can constantly switch to new weapons, even with styles I normally would hate, and enjoy the HECK out of them. There are even synergies between "blessings" (special buffs/abilities granted roguelike-style after completing a room), where each blessing can combine with another to allow for powerful build opportunities mid-game. I would love it if you could select a blessing to start with, much like a weapon, as that could allow for some extra refined building. My primary complaint about this game is that I WANT EVEN MOAR I want MORE weapons, MORE enemy types, MORE blessings, MORE bosses, MORE upgrade trees, and generally just MORE. So far, this is one of the coolest, most satisfying roguelikes I have ever played, and that's after dropping a significant amount of time into Risk of Rain 2, 30XX, and a frankly absurd number of hours across the roguelike genre as a whole. It has been a while since a game has held my attention this much, and I really hope this game explodes with popularity. I would love to see even more content.

Good game from a good company. Monster Hunter-like roguelike game with good meta progression, interesting mobs to fight/farm and based in a really interesting universe (the Dofus/Wakfu/Waven Universe). Price seems okay? Though there might not be a huge amount of content so that's one point in the "cons" column

I'm sure there was a cool game here but I'm quite literally unable to play it. After the first run and returning to the hub, the game consistently crashes when trying a new run no matter how the settings changed. For a game like this, it really shouldn't be this bad. Something is horribly optimized, I've played more technically demanding games just fine so I don't think it's a setup issue. A shame because what is there seems cool with justifiable comparisons to a top-down monster hunter with Hades room selection. I just don't have the time to try to troubleshoot this to play. Try it out if it seems appealing, but be warned I've seen several others in steam forums report similar issues. But maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones that's able to have a good time and actually play the game.

Great game with nice gameplay, notably a very interesting weapon swap mechanic. A little short in content. Victory in "heat" (prestige) 15 in 12 hours, which seems to be an end to the story. Though I do have several hundred of hours in hades 1 and 2. The game does have a good challenge. Edit, I have 100% achievement in 25h, so quite short in content really.
