I took a chance on this one because it has no reviews, but unfortunately the game is incomplete.
- It suffers from poor camera behavior when your character moves close enough to the map boundary (and it affects you pretty far away from said boundary).
- There are active abilities, but honestly there's no reason why they shouldn't just be passive abilities. They don't impact the game in a way that's meaningfully different from the passive abilities, except maybe for the teleport ability.
- There's no wrong choices. Just pick upgrades and you'll play until you can't take it anymore (which was 20 minutes for me).
- There's a MAJOR bug where your firing arc can become restricted. Once the bug is triggered, you will be unable to aim outside of that arc (mine was limited to about 150 degrees).
- I encountered a single boss twice in the span of 20 minutes and it didn't appear to be special in any way other than that it soaked up way more damage.
- The game suffers decreasing performance and enemy behavior as time goes on and more enemies spawn. This includes a bug where enemies seem to be able to accelerate other enemies to speeds faster than they are clearly intended to move.
I don't enjoy crapping on games, but this is the worst survivors game that I've bought on Steam (out of ~40). It's undercooked and needs more time in the oven before it can be recommended for purchase. I'll be refunding.
