Steampunk city builder where the game focuses more on how your city looks than how efficient it is.
The game is oddly peaceful, and the settings let you tweak the gameplay to be more war-based, more builder-friendly, or both!
If you want a city builder with some unique mechanics and a new way to build, this is a fun little buy.
It's great for short sessions or longer ones!

So this is clearly unfinished.
But it's a lot of fun. Hoping the dev sticks with it and keeps adding content.

Awesome game! Now all we need is another game in this universe alongside Falconeer, (also in this universe), that focuses on open world sailing and combat and it'll be nice and rounded lol

unbelievable game for a single dev! great job!
Love the building progression, and ease of doing so.
It doesn't get bogged down in micromanagement, and is a blast to play!
Oh, and the style and the art of it is just beautiful.
sometimes wish there was a way to go back to a save point
(like declaring war and screwing up my whole 20k pop game LOL).
alas, lesson learned!
Hopefully we will be seeing more map expansion in the future, or maybe more scaled random encounters?
Just seems like, as soon as I can muster a decent army, there's nothing left to fight, unless I burn down my
peacefully built conglomerate.
Overall, it is a great game for the price, and I am having a blast playing.
Absolutely recommend.

"Just one more building.... wait no just one more I swear.... and now it's 3am."
One of the best, and most unique city builders I've played and I love it.

As a fan of sandbox games made by obscure developers, I'd say Bulwark is well worth the price tag. Although the game has yet to meet its own potential, the solo developer is highly active on social media and is genuinely passionate about his own product. It's cheap, it's a lot of fun, and it's an easy recommend on my end.

I love this game, Its great as it is, and worth the price tag easily. This game has so much more potential I hope the dev makes updates for it for ever and ever. Every update adds really cool stuff and I really hope that this game becomes like a water starsector.

At first I found the game overly simplistic, then I found myself addicted to the build mechanics. I played this game for about three days in a row.
It reminds me of the game Slipways, but with a Steampunk aesthetic.
There seems to be only a single map. It seems like something where multiplayer would be somewhat interesting...
The game has a lot of good things going for it, but it feels like it's unfinished.
I don't know if this is what the Dev(s) had planned all along or not, but it feels like it is incomplete.
After playing around with and breaking the build mechanic gets old, there's just nothing really left to do. Sure, I could probably death-ball the others on the map, but I'm not only playing the peaceful faction but prefer peaceful solutions in games like this.
I understand from the audio of the different factions that there are quests I need to complete in order to invite them and have them join my own faction, but I feel no real need nor desire to do so. And I don't feel like continuing to build the same buildings over and over and over. I don't know if command towers have a max height, but I think they do and I think I've reached it. There's just nothing left that I want to do in the game.
And with that, it went from addictively enjoyable, to utterly boring.
