This game gets too much hate. It is cheaper than most games nowadays and it has some of the most fun gameplay for an esports title I have experienced. The rewards, unlockables and currencies can all be earned just through playing; you aren't locked behind paywalls to obtain any of the content. This game allows you to pay the one-time entry fee and then enjoy an absolutely microtransaction-free experience instead of following the trend of bloating itself and locking things behind paywalls. In a lot of ways, it is a breath of fresh air. The foundation for greatness is absolutely here and can be improved upon with time. For instance, I would like to see certain tweaks such as the boundaries in matches need to be expanded. There is an invisible barrier that prevents you from reaching certain elevations and you can't go outside of the boundary lines horizontally. Increasing this could go hand in hand with tweaks to the Seeker role. As of right now, the Seeker is only active for short periods of time and then the game marks the Snitch for you once found and the whole race to it is finished in about a minute's time. It would be more beneficial to the experience of the game if there was more room to fly and search for the Snitch. It should be deliberately difficult to locate and more difficult to follow once found, perhaps by not highlighting it or allowing you to lock on. The Snitch should also behave more erratically to ensure that the chase is anything but straightforward. Seeker is an understandably difficult role in-universe and the game should reflect that. With this you can increase the amount of points earned from catching it, if the devs don't want to go the route of the Snitch ending the game. These changes would improve the flow of matches dramatically, as well as give those of us who love playing Seeker a task to focus on for the entirety of a match. I have other gameplay related wishes also, but this one is the absolute biggest for me personally and talking with others, I am not alone in this thinking. This game is very good and I truly believe that it can be great. I see a lot of toxicity in the community from those voicing their grievances. I understand a lot of the frustrations, though some are silly. If we can support this title, recommend it to friends/family, promote an inclusive community to help others enjoy the game and most importantly: give constructive feedback to the developers, we may be able to experience something truly special in time. If people continue to dump on the devs and drop the game, it is going to die before it ever truly takes off and I would hate for that to happen. There is something for almost everybody in this game and I definitely recommend that everybody tries it at least once. (No TL:DR- read a book!)

Really enjoyable and fun to play. Bonus points for no microtransactions but still cool cosmetics to unlock. Overhated and underrated

Your internet had better be perfect because if it's not you will be kicked from every god damned thing, want to upgrade your team ohhh you lost internet for a second so were going to rearrange all your preset teams, your playing single player? not without internet your not. I want to enjoy this game but i can't because of this crap.

Worth it. Also for those upset over the battle-pass style system, they give them damn enough coins by playing alone you do not need to spend money even for shop items, the reward system is very well balanced and plays better than most 2K tbh.

I like it, it's fun. Although, I've only played singleplayer. I only wish you could turn off more of the UI elements, such as the circle around the Snitch and other FX, which are distracting and make it less immersive.

I rly rly enjoyed the original quidditch game 10 years ago and always wondered what i would be as a multiplayer. Here it is. It's basically a remake of the old quidditch but brought to modern days. Funky controls? Well yes... it's a three dimensional game, but honestly, if you can play rocket league you can play this one. Unfortunatly the community seems to be quite small. After 5mins in the online quee i went back to the solo vs. AI games. But still a fun little game, that i missed alot and im happy that its back. Worth 25+ Euro? No. Worth it when its on sale? Sure.

As a Harry Potter Game: Mehh As a sports game: woof Repetitive, chaotic (not in a good way), UI is abysmal, controls are atrocious. Even on high difficulty, extremely easy to beat. Would have been acceptable as a Hogwarts Legacy DLC, but does not have nearly enough depth to justify an entire game. Even the announcers only have 4-5 unique lines. Go ahead and pick it up on sale for 2-5 hours of distraction, but for the love of all that is good don't pay full price.

Purchased to play offline on Steam Deck. (Offline not supported at all) Basically a deal breaker for anybody looking for games to play on the road in a plane or somewhere similar. This game only operates/opens under the condition that you have an always online internet connection this. Seeing as I purchased this game to be able to play it on my Steam Deck in a portable fashion, it is nonsense to keep the game until the developer/publisher allows offline play. if they do not i will not repurchase it at all. Thought I'd add to this review for transparency: I got this game at a discounted price with DLC for ~$15 and I still think its not worth the money just because of no offline support. Especially because it makes no sense to play this game on a desktop/home PC; this game looks like its made to run on laptops and Steam deck. (unless you're that much into Quidditch) Recommendation: Buy it if its essentially free like 1-2$
