Its just a good fun game!

It's like Mass Effect, but Dead!

Pros It has amazing graphics, amazing atmosphere and an amazing gameplay. You will have alot of fun slaying zombies in it. cons very short and bad voice acting (especially the female character) this game lacks content alot. Apart from the main story there is survival (which is too short) and bio hazard mode with only a few maps. The android/ios version had more maps and some side missions as well. Also the number of zombies in bio hazard mode is way less compared to android/ios version. This game is worth it only on sale. It is a must play if you do not care much about story and only want to kill some zombies.

(Pre review note - make sure to turn off V-sync for this game! I was suffering bad input lag/floaty aiming at first but turning v-sync off fixed the issue) A straightforward & fun scifi/horror fps - imagine Doom 3 combined with COD Zombies mode and that's basically Dead Effect. The campaign is just the right length to not outstay its welcome, and for those who buy games with the "more is more" philosophy, there are a bunch of challenge modes and higher difficulties you can grind through after, saving up resources to unlock and upgrade a whole bunch of extra weapons. I didn't even unlock half the game's guns, so one criticism I have is that unlock progression should've been a bit quicker, as only people who want to spend a bunch of extra time playing challenges/higher difficulties will actually be able to try all the weapons.

the game is dirt cheap hence recommended however this is a awfull port for the mobile version that is a more refined version of the game the guns do not work in the pc version the fov is butchered and overall a bad experience as compared to the mobile even though most weapons there are locked behind paywalls

Even though this is to my knowledge a mobile port made into a PC release it actually ends up being decently fun. Sure the voice acting is not the best and story leaves something to be desired but there's an odd arcadey fun to getting headshots and taking on zombies, collecting credits to buy different weapons. There's not a mind blowing or super in depth experience here but if you want to enjoy a sci fi b movie plot and kill a bunch of different undeads using some different weapons and powers you can easily get 5-10 hours of fun here, would recommend on sale or even at the normal price.

this game actually is very playable and the animations of the heads and limbs exploding is really good to pull off, well worth a go if you're bored but don't expect anything amazing 8/10
