It is VERY unfair, even if you compare it to the awesome TMNT beat-em-up game that came out not long time ago - Rangers feel very rushed or something! -The health placements sometimes literally make you fall! (the rooftop with the trashcan! - you clearly have some space to be on the right from it, but once you hit it - you fall off). -Some of the enemies just run towards you off the screen without any indication (yes! Those ugly drill putties!) - no clanking sound, no nothing - 5 of them run from both sides of the screen and hit you no matter what. -The pre-zord stages are a MESS!!! Controls are okay, but you can't keep up with what the hell is going on on the screen!!! Also, if you're a black ranger - good luck learning that 90% of the stage takes your HP (ESPECIALLY THE BRIDGES WITH HOLES IN BETWEEN with no indication that you have to jump over them), every piece of trash can kill your black trash can on the legs! While Pink ranger only have to avoid the tall objects and projectiles. -Zord stages gameplay-wise are cool, BUT! Sometimes the fights are VERY unfair, because you clearly can land a hit to the enemy, yet YOU get blown up for no reason. Scripts in those fights are often way broken! You clearly avoid the shot, yet you get hit. THE WORST PART: No multiplayer save!!! Like...WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! The game that was meant for MULTIPLAYER coop saves only in singleplayer?!?!? WHY?! We've played through the campaign barely before we had to leave (some adults have lives, you know, we don't always have 2-3 hours to beat full game). There are some more negative sides that I've forgot already. Removed the game and will never touch it again. Shame. It had such potential! p.s. combo system is VERY basic and juggle is not very good too, again TMNT did it way better. I'd give the game 5/10 and just for the nostalgia factor! For real it should be 3.5/10.

this game is extremely fun but very buggy still, i know the devs fixed it but it still needs some tweaking cause its a bit stiff at times but other than that, the game is amazing, huge fun of all the rangers and including Alpha and Zordon

This game for me was a blast to play! While I do agree with everyone that the game is lacking in some parts and could use some polish, I still had a fun time playing it. It's no Shredder's Revenge sure! But, I'd still pick it back up to play anytime. I think with enough time and the developers adding new additions to the game, I think it can bounce back!

This game got a fair amount of flak at release for limited multiplayer, which has (kind-of) been resolved. There's 6 player multiplayer across 2 PCs, meaning you need extra people at the same locations for the full roster. Overall I absolutely loved the game, it's a love letter to the 90's power rangers in all their rock-riffing, cheesy one-liner greatness and does a solid job of capturing the essence of what made the old beat-em-ups fun; simple combos, just enough enemy variation and the ability to play with friends. The game worlds and sprites are beautifully designed and animated, and there's even some references to other classic series from the same era! If you're looking for a fun arcade beat-em-up to scratch that 90's itch this game is absolutely amazing and I'd highly recommend grabbing it to play with friends!

As a Long-Time Power Rangers fan since 2011, I Absolutely Enjoyed Each and Every Part of it. The Story, the Gameplay, All of it! Although my only complaint is this specific version of the game doesn't have 6-player support when using controllers, you can go up to 5 when one player uses the keyboard (or you're like me and use a steam controller mapping everything to keyboard commands), while the other 4 players use controllers (Any Combination of PlayStation 4 or 5, Xbox, Switch, etc.), I really do like this game, but the lack of full 6-player support (via Controllers only) is my only complaint, If that wasn't the case, This Game Would've been fun for like parties and stuff, Maybe I'll buy the Switch Version, but I really don't want to have to buy another version of the game due to my lack of budget.

I say wait for a PRICE DROP. For 35 dollars, I expected more. Game is too short, all the rangers play the same, combat has no depth or freedom for creativity, megazord battle was mixed for me. This destroys replay value. But I can't lie, I did had a good time........for one playthrough. Pixel graphics and the music are amazing though. It is a mixed bag for me.

I bought this while on sale, and after the most recent "big update' that they told everyone about. I want to like it more, but it was too quick to complete with little reason to go back. Shredder's Revenge did it right and spoiled me a little. I love MMPR with a passion, and I did enjoy this a lot more than the previous beat'em up released (Mega Battle), but I can't recommend it unless it's on sale for less than 20$ Spoiler warning, but not really - You do get to play as the Green Ranger but only after the game is beaten. I did a few levels as him to test him out and he plays exactly like the other rangers, but with new voice lines. He doesn't interact in any of the 'cut scenes'. You also still play as the Megazord during those specific missions despite picking Tommy, and his Dragonzord plays like the Red Ranger's Zord in the Dinozord specific missions, which was disappointing. Pros: - Graphics: Retro look is nailed. Cutscenes have great artwork and the main street levels are cool to see in the vintage beat'em up style. The zord levels looked cool - Music: It hyped me up each time the theme played. It's nicely scored - Character selection: All 5 Rangers available at the start, and you can choose who to play as. - Upgrade system was a nice addition, giving reason to earn high points in levels Cons: - Levels are really repetitive. The side scrolling street fights weren't bad, but I mainly refer to the bike and zord missions. From 2D to 3D, it was a good idea on paper but there's barely any thought put into the levels and it's like a bad version of StarFox for SNES. - Character Customization: All 5 rangers played almost identically. Despite the upgrade system, a lvl 0 Ranger felt no stronger than one that's maxed out. It felt a little different playing the Pink vs the Red Ranger, but everything is really just a cosmetic change and no ranger have unique abilities to help even the odds. - With the exception of the Pterodactyl Dinozord, all 4 (plus one secret) zords played exactly the same in their respective zord missions. The worst thing is that because the pink ranger's zord can fly, it loses the ability to dodge. The missions grow to become bullet hell and not being able to dodge seemed silly. -Replay value: Aside from going back to earn missed achievements, I felt no reason to continue playing after beating it. Maxing out the other Rangers didn't feel necessary and getting to play as (Spoiler warning) the Green Ranger felt pointless as all the rangers attacked in the same exact way

Boring unimaginative gameplay with horrendous multiplayer issues. Unlocked character cannot be used in multiplayer. There is no growth through gameplay. No unlocked weapons or abilities. No variety to multiple playthroughs. In multiplayer, the vehicle and megazord levels momentarily freeze every couple of seconds, regardless of who is the host, or internet connections. THIS IS A MULTIPLAYER GAME! And two-thirds of the game is unplayable. This is the worst purchase I have ever made on Steam.

Hard to say as for most people... probably not. The gameplay isn't bad, but it isn't as good as some other arcade beat'em ups you can get like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Every character plays the same for humans, and there is a slight change for zoids (pink ranger has the best one since it can fly). The boss fights can be enjoyable though when the zords combine it feels a little bit lacking. Mostly you get it if your a Power Ranger fan, but skip it if you want a Beat'em up as there are better and more importantly CHEAPER ones you can get instead. I state the price as the game lasted 2 hours before it was beaten and with the lack of character variety for attacks or actions... I doubt I will come back to play it again. As not even playing as the Green Ranger changes anything... expect Green ranger design for individual mechs before getting the Megazord to finish of the main foe. It does have a lot of charm and fun things that call back to the original series including a few obscure things which were fun... but there isn't a lot here to keep you here after you beat it or to suggest it over a different game. Maybe their next attempt will be better? 5/10 - Not a great game, but not a bad game either.

GOOD: Lots of references to the original cast and first season. Unique gameplay incorporating side scrolling fighter, gallery shooter, and POV fighting sequences. Ability to play as individual zords during the Megazord sequences. A lot of monsters pulled directly from the show. BAD: Too short Green Ranger is unlocked AFTER beating the game and can be used during replay of the original game but does not have dragon zord POV Fights, dialogue doesn't change, story line exactly the same. Combat timing reminiscent of TMNT II on NES, where enemy attacks are sometimes in perfect sync with the recovery animation after getting knocked down, leaving you to be beaten in perpetuity until you die. Dodge is not effective in most situations. While a fun and quirky throwback to the good ol' days, I think $34.99 for such a short experience and replay-ability lacking definitive or sufficient justification, is too much.
