Personally, I don't mind paying $29.99 for this. I'm 36 now and remember playing the original back in the early 90's. Before the dark times... Before the modern AAA games empires... People can complain if they want, but I think that they don't understand that the original didn't have any of the features that this does, like Rewinding to undo a mistake, a music player, or a boss-rush mode, let alone a save feature at all. Back then, I had to one-shot the whole game in one sitting. Many of the older games like this didn't have a save function. I don't remember any of this in the original that came out in 1993. I'm happy that I can play this game again with a save function, so I can play the game without having to dedicate hours at a time to beat it, but can safely put it down if I have to break away for some reason and not loose my progress. To me, this is more like having a blast from the past that made me feel like a small child at Christmas again. Nostalgia can be a powerful tool, and a lot of companies catch a lot of flack from people who criticize them as "weaponizing nostalgia", but I'm glad to find a gem like this every now and then, and support a brand name that gave me joy in life.

My negative sentiment pretty much echoes what everyone else has said so far. Having loved RKA as a kid, I bought this collection with my nostalgia blinders fully strapped on. And yes, the games hold up today, and I had a blast revisiting them. But there's not enough in this collection to justify a $40 CAD price tag, and I myself am experiencing some real buyers remorse. You may want to wait for a 75% off sale for this one.
