Warning, this game may hurt your hand (in the good way). Back in the day when games were fun instead of being resource draining virtue signaling screen savers or simply slop... there was ROCKET KNIGHT. Arguably better than Sonic but similarly fast paced this game series is the kind of game which can destroy your controller either through angry reactions or through standard gameplay procedure. A product of the "blast processing" era of hype this game is fun yet brutal like getting a wedgie at a convention for cute furry creatures or being suddenly catapulted through the air at ridiculous speed into the bushes as baroque electronic breakcore music plays. Konami brings the usual flair for the dramatic with a fantastic cast of characters, notably the Dragoon esque antagonist Axle / Axel Gear who shows up in style armed with devious battle mecha or will simply school the player in technique focused heavy Rocket battles. Innovative, unique and extremely stylish ROCKET KNIGHT is very much recommended. It is very cool to grind on the boss rush modes for savage thrills and replay challenge. Konami did not match the sheer popularity of SEGA's own Sonic Team but that is not the point. The point is Konami did its own thing instead of being a Sonic clone and we as players get to enjoy the rewards! Would be cool if the Sonic movies had a random Sparkster in the background clouds for keen eyed viewers or upside down in some apple trees. ... also included in this collection is the Nintendo version.
PRETTY MUCH AWESOME!
