I'm not going to lie, its exactly like rust. But what got me is literally the fact I can waddle like a duck, quack like one and die screaming a quack sound. Not to mention you're a duck with guns and tools. The flying mechanics are okay if you learn how to fly properly, you can do 'Duck Fights' (dog fights) in the sky, making friends can be easy at times just note you might get raided by them and its super funny and addictive at times. 10/10 Highly recommend for friends.

The game itself is fine and had no issues for me running on Windows. The reason for not recommending it is because to this day the developers won't perform two simple steps to allow Easy Anti-Cheat to run on Linux, so I cannot play this on my computer or my Steam Deck, as I have ditched Windows for Linux. If I can run 90% of my 500+ game library on Linux, then there's no excuse other than the developers don't want to have Linux players play this game. I'm admittedly frustrated because I wasted over an hour trying to get this game to work on Linux, and once I discovered it was the anti-cheat not working on Linux and how easy the developers could enable it, my total play time passed the two hour mark, making it impossible for a refund. Update: Turned off comments for this review because most of the people commenting just want to be as equally lazy as the developers to either say "get windows" or just leave an insult. Give me all the clown reactions you want, but it shouldn't be viewed as a bad thing to advocate for more gamers to have access to a game, regardless of their operating system.

Bought this game to play with friends. It's literally a direct copy of Rust, but in third-person, and as a duck that can fly. Pros: ### Map traversal is quick because you can fly (duh, you're a duck) Cons: ### As of writing review, players at prime time in Australia is ~70. The official Duckside Sydney server had under 10 people, including 5 friends. Basically, no players for open-world PvP. In 30 mins of playing didn't encounter a single person. Only other players sitting in base waiting for you to run out of explosives so they can repair while you're out making more. ### Raiding is way too expensive. Thatch is fine. Wood requires Explosive arrows of Molotovs, fine. Stone suddenly requires 10 small explosives (satchels) or 4 rockets. Metal is just stupid. Most of this would be okay, but the materials to make rockets and explosives are difficult to get... unless you run the Monuments... which brings me to ### Slow Monument respawn. I went to 3 different monuments and all were already completed and empty. By the time I finished playing 30 mins later, the enemies had respawned multiple times, but the card doors were still unlocked and not yet reset. How are you meant to get better materials and gear if you cant do the things that let you loot them?

Unable to play due to constant anti cheat false detection. Game would crash upon start up, crash, and anti cheat would not specify the file path that was causing the issue. Attempted several fixes and nothing worked. It's a shame...game looked fun.
