My least favorite of the expansions I have which is a shame since dragons should make everything better.

Do you love dragons? Do you dream of dragons under your dragon duvet? Do you tremble when you hear the name Falkor? Perhaps you have an obscure fetish for dragons? When someone says 'Enter the Dragon', do you giggle while others talk about the finer points of Kung Fu? Do you want rampant dragons at epidemic proportions. Then this Dragon expansion might light your fire. Like Talisman, people will either really love this or hate it. It does tend to drag the game out. I didn't like it when I first played it and didn't like it the second time, the fourth time was bearable. There are some good ideas and mechanics, but it feels tough going sometimes. I like the Dragon Tower Inner Region. For me it is not one of the best expansions, but once in a while I will throw it in. It does have a load of content and theme, well worth the price. I bought this more so for the extra characters. I am in love with 'Pepper' the Dragon Priestess, she is hotter than Dragons Breath or the Carolina Reaper.

This expansion adds some new characters, cards and different endings so it really helps with replayability. I have this one physically as well and I do enjoy playing it every now and then. I have only played a couple matches with this digitally so far but it's basically the same as the physical copy.

I had to watch a youtube video about this expansion to comprehend it, but it's a lot of fun once you do. I don't play it with other expansions because it's so complicated.

THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM WITH THIS DLC The amount of time spend on dragon token animation increases the lenght of a game by a lot. Also, as someone alredy mentioned in the reviews, if you have more than 3 players the board gets filled up with dragon tokens, that you sometimes can't even avoid due to, for some unholy reason, game giving red dragon 16 turns while the rest got control for around 5 turns, so you end up with board filled with strenght based dragon token, have fun playing craft based character! Then why review is possitive? Outside it's problems, it's a very funny dlc that adds some of the most hype moments in the game i have ever seen.

I enjoy playing the actual board game with friends. It involves thinking ahead, rolling the dice, having fun and hoping for the best. I can now also enjoy the same game in digital form with friends joining me online, or if all else fails, around my computer screen.

A cool expansion that really adds to the game's difficulty. As with almost all of the expansion DLCs, you can try before you buy - there's one that can be played for free every week, and it changes every Monday. Or, you can keep setting your computer clock ahead a week until you find the one you want to play.

Having tried with or without this Expansion, I can comfortably say that this is the worst by far. There are several major issues, especially if you play with 4-6 characters: 1) The effects of Dragon tokens etc. occur every single go for every single character. Sometimes this leads to 4-5 extra steps before you roll the dice. This can double or triple the length of turns never mind... 2) ...the effect it has on length of the entire game. The spaces on the board will fill up with Dragon tokens, the cards of which are generally more difficult to deal with than regular adventure cards. Despite being more difficult, the AI is fairly gung-ho about them, which generally leads to characters dying more frequently than gaining in power. This dramatically slows everything down. Additionally, much of the regular game board will be partially inaccessible because of the effects of the tokens, which makes all regions feel more homogenous in their dragon-ness, rather than feeling like unique places. 3) It also negatively impacts strategy because you visually it's cluttered and unobvious where the tokens even are, and you have fewer options besides encountering the Dragon deck again and again. 4) Dragon Rage isn't particularly easy to guard against, so it just ends up feeling like more or less random penalties inflicted on random characters. 5) It crashes a lot. I have lost two looooong games to this (one at 43 rounds, one at 67). All in all, this is exactly what Expansions should generally seek to avoid, because it changes the fundamentals of the game too much, and crowds out everything that came before. I'm much happier playing with it OFF. Without it, all of the other Expansions have room to breathe.

I want to recommend this, I really do. In some scenarios is very fun, and adds much more combat and periodically triggers events that gets rid of extra gold, followers, items, spells, etc. But what will happen if you have this enabled and there are more than 4 players is that the board will become littered with dragons everywhere before anyone gets powerful. I have save game I am probably going to abandon because of this. Even on a game with just myself and 2 NPCs, we each died at least 2 times, before we happened to luck our way into some victories, But what happens with 4+ players is that the outer region gets filled with dragon tokens and dragons before anyone really levels up. And don't get me started with the 30+ worth of craft and strength of Dragon encounters that will be camping the Castle lol. Still, while the opportunity for bleak failure exists, there is also the small possibility of great success. Every dragon encounter you survive makes the next one much easier. The other thing, is another player can trigger a global dragon rage, then you can pick a dragon rage token on your turn, and then based on your dice roll, have to chose between 2 spots on the board with high level dragons with breath attacks that will hit you before you even start combat. Worst case you can loose 4 health in a single round. I don't feel anyone should be able to loose that much health that quickly. If you really really like Chaos, this certainly adds a lot of it.
