Wondered about whether it was actually really difficult to make it through the night after reading a few of the reviews. Can confirm it IS difficult. I would like a little bit more to look at while traveling until night time..the black goat felt like a friendly face. Overall, it is a pretty cool idea, so may come back to it if there are any updates.

I love Moolion's games, and I want to like this one, but the negatives make it difficult.
I really don't like critisizing the mistakes, this is after all a transition from Moolion's original storytelling games. There is a real intrigue around the story of witches in the cold barren forests of what I hope are in my hometown of Massachusetts, and I love the idea of interacting with the environment.
But the thing that really stopped me from liking it, was the "getting lost in the woods" feature.
That in itself sounds fun during the initial instructions, but you very quickly realize your choices of navigation have absolutely no reliance on visual cue; eventually I just learned if you go down a path, and just keep turning around and going back on the path you came, you'll actually advance further. The space is big, losing yourself in the woods should come naturally. It seems way too forced how easy it is to get lost.
I picked it up a couple times and made an effort to see a progression, because Moolion are awesome at storytelling, but this game just really hates the fact that you have any agency, and reminds you constantly of it.
I would love to give this game another try if they make navigation less forced and more on your own perception. Like I said before, it is a big map. There are opportunities with the witch encounters to make navigation more blurred, but actively forcing the player to make mistakes just doesn't work.
Love you Moolion, but please fix this.

We were drawn to this game for its unique aesthetic (panaramic, point and click, horror). We made it through to the third night on our first playthrough, and had the following notes:
- understanding the direction through the woods was difficult (possibly intentionally so), we liked that this added some difficulty to the mix, but without the game telling us it was intentional, this may have been a "bug". We'd recommend keeping the unorthodox pathing, but letting the player know in the opening instructions that they are likely to get lost, potentially more often during the night or during storms.
- adding some text lore at the beginning of the game and potentially during the loading screens may also flesh out this game a little more. We loved that there were added segments when we got into the third day that eluded to some larger story, but some sort of setup may help more players connect to the game and play for more than just "how far can I get?"
- we played on a three monitor setup, and unfortunately the cursor wouldn't stay in the screen and I was constantly clicking outside of the main monitor. Not sure what can be done exactly, but you almost need to keep the cursor within the game window, or disable clicking outside of the window when it's open.
In all, we think this is an excellent concept that just needs some polishing between early access and full release. In its current state, we would recommend it to anybody who likes short-form atmospheric survival-horror, plays on a single monitor, and doesn't mind getting a little lost in the woods.
Looking forward to the full release!

I want to like this game. I want too so bad. I love the other games Moonlion has made, but this is just too hard. It feels impossible. I was looking forward to this story so much. Moonlion are masters at story telling. Unfortunately, I just can make it to much of the story because I can't survive many nights. I applaud this developer for their unique approach to video games, and I applaud them even more for adding something new to it with this entry. That said, I think they took the survival idea too far. I think it could work as a concept, but the way it is now just isn't fun IMO.
I do have a few suggestions that would make it better for me. First, I would start with some story right at the beginning and continue the story every day/night. I think that would help hook people early and keep them hooked. Second and third are one in the same. I think there should either be more resources or the resources that are there should last longer.
Moon Lion's games are so visually striking, and that's a big appeal of them. Unfortunately you have to be too frantic trying to survive that you can never stop to appreciate the beauty. I can't see fans of your other game being drawn to this one, nor do I see survival fans being drawn to it. I think people would be drawn to it if it was more accessible and those of us who make videos and stream can promote it to our audiences.
I'm not trying to be all negative though. I'm still interested in this game, and would love to experience the whole thing one day. I can definitely see it being a positive experience if it wasn't so frustratingly difficult.
