[h1]Omusubi | Review in English and Italian[/h1] [h1]-------------------------------[/h1] [h2][i]English Review[/i][/h2] [h3]Pros:[/h3] - Adorable graphics to look at, rich and filled with details (also, extremely fluffy!!!) - Animated bits are well done - The soundtrack in this is extremely evocative - The way savepoints are contextualized - The female characters are amazing, their will and inner strength being almost astounding, from little Sanae to Hinako herself (also, how good is it to see a chubby character being perfectly normalized as such?) - The amount of references to Japanese culture and beliefs, deeply ingrained in the entire story - Issa being a womanizer works well enough in its comical streak - Gameplay is simple, but never boring - Atmosphere works well enough between cartoony, fluff, comical, extremely moving, and overall CREEPINESS (those lumps of flesh... Jeez, I was white as a sheet) - The message itself is well developed [h3]Cons:[/h3] - It's so easy to heal, in so many different ways, that losing lives really loses any tension, after a while (also, many healing items could easily be removed, and nothing would change at all) - The Celestial Being is wonderful to look at (both before and after being corrupted by impurity), but almost feels like a plot device - The fighting bits are OBNOXIOUS - All the relationship between Hina and her grandmother could have been executed just a little bit better [h3]Extra (unaffecting my overall opinion):[/h3] Overall, this game reminded me of [i][url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/2106810/The_Forest_of_Drizzling_Rain/]The Forest of Drizzling Rain[/url][/i] mixing up with [i]Spirited Away[/i] (though of course, the first game coming to mind, playing this one, is absolutely [i]Ib[/i]) [h1]-------------------------------[/h1] [h2][i]Recensione in italiano[/i][/h2] [h3]Pro:[/h3] - La grafica è adorabile da guardare, ricca e colma di dettagli (nonché assai pucciosa!!!) - Buone parentesi animate - Il comparto sonoro è fortemente suggestivo - L'originalità nella contestualizzazione dei savepoints - I personaggi femminili sono fantastici, la loro iniziativa e forza interiore quasi stupefacente, dalla piccola Sanae alla stesaa Hinako (e già che ci siamo, quanto è bello vedere una protagonista in carne tranquillamente normalizzata in quanto tale) - Il quantitativo di riferimenti alla cultura e le credenze giapponesi, fortmente integrati alla storia - Il fatto che Issa sia un donnaiolo incallito funziona relativamente bene in ambito comico - Il gameplay è semplice, ma mai noioso - L'atmosfera funziona abbastanza bene fra il cartoonesco l'adorabile, il comico, l'estremamente toccante e il decisamente INQUIETANTE (gli ammassi di carne... ragazzi, sono sbiancato come un cencio) - Il messaggio in sé è ben sviluppato [h3]Contro:[/h3] - Curarsi, in mille modi diversi, è talmente facile che perdere vite manca della minima tensione, dopo un po' (senza contare che svariati oggetti curativi potrebbero facilmente essere rimossi dal gioco, e non cambierebbe nulla) - L'Essere Celeste è meraviglioso da guardare (sia prima che dopo essere corrotto dell'impurità), ma sembra quasi un espediente narrativo - I due combattimenti risultano ODIOSI - Tutta il rapporto tra Hina e sua nonna poteva essere affrontata un pelino meglio [h3]Extra (privo d'influenza sul giudizio complessivo):[/h3] Tutt'assieme, questo gioco mi ha ricordato una via di mezzo fra [i][url=https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198985448870/recommended/2106810?snr=1_5_9__402]The Forest of Drizzling Rain[/url][/i] e [i]La Città Incantata[/i] (anche se il primo gioco che viene in mente, a giocare questo, è sicuramente [i]Ib[/i]) [h1]-------------------------------[/h1] [h1]Rating | Voto - 8/10 com laude[/h1]
