Seems like the positive reviews are from people who played this for like 10 minutes and quit..
You have to beat it all in one life, even though it's not long and it has checkpoints, but really in awful places and too far and few in between.
Sure the survival / combat stuff, what little there is, isn't an issue, and you can grind out items by repeatedly leaving and entering a building (since EVERYTHING respawns then), but oh my god, the jumping puzzles.
The controls are way too awkward and awful to have them.
Please put a save mechanic in OR put the dang checkpoints BEFORE THE JUMPING AREA where you die when you mess up.
This is more of an infuriating than scary game.
It doesn't cost much and may look charming, but sadly it is ruined.
