Very Hollow Knight-like, minus the spike hopping. Combat can be tough, but rewarding. Worlds are beautiful and music is nice. If you're looking for a Hollow Knight Metroidvania to pass the time, this one is worth it.

This game was exceedingly delightful. As an avid platformer/metroidvania player, this game hit a lot of the criteria that makes for challenging and enjoyable game play. Very similar to games like Hollow Knight and Ori, all while providing an experience that makes a name for itself. Additionally, I love the parry/guard/deflect mechanic and I believe this game incorporates it well into the game play, especially considering other games in the past have done well but fell short of the nuances that would have made for more exciting challenges (i.e: Sekiro). While the gentleness of the soundtrack and the smooth flow of the game play, there were some things i did find difficult to cope with. The main issue being that some inputs were not executed given there placement in the chain of actions. For example, sometimes the parry/guard input wouldn't execute after dashing or attacking. I thought maybe it could be an issue on my end, but I tried with multiple controller options and the issue persisted. Maybe it was supposed to be like that, I'm not exactly sure, but it did trivialize some parts of the boss fights and made for some laughable but frustrating moments during my experience. All in all, I'm pleased with the game and am looking forward with anticipation for the full release. Keep up the good work!!

This game has potential. Clearly inspired by hk but its a great example on how to do it right. The healing system definitely needs a buff. The amount of hits for one fraction of health back is ridiculous

As it is right now it's literally unplayable. Game is non-responsive, takes ages to even load the main menu, and in the off chance that I get into the game itself the transition between rooms takes about 10+ seconds with a black screen.
Unplayable.

I might return to this game one day.
But at its current state it lacks content (understandable since its in EA) and feels like a soulless rip off of hollow knight.
The game has poor enemy designs. Some enemies have over simplified sprites while others have overly complex designs which dont match the same art style. I get that some things need to be more complex but when you put the sprites for the mushroom boss and the fist boss side by side you can clearly see the difference in detail. There's also no set size for the lines on the sprites so everything just feels out of place, and during the early game there are these "metal vine" like enemies that slither across the screen, an alright concept for blocking off the area if the enemy itself didn't feel so lifeless due to the lack of animation once it stops moving.
The game also has an "interesting" choice of font that just looks unnatural and doesn't fit the rest of the game. Many of the moves in the trailer are just reskins of hollow knight attacks, also the level design (especially the first area) looks like a blatant hollow knight asset rip with some slight retexturing. Overall if the developers got their shit together and really locked in for the finished product the game might be passable as an alright game even though it takes tons of "inspiration" from hollow knight.

It's very similar to the game Hollow Knight. The gameplay is great, the creatures are nicely created, the music is soothing, but sometimes too sad. Maybe it wouldn't be bad to incorporate a bigger plot into it. Yes, you are a Deviator, who, for now, has the task of collecting the dead souls of fallen Deviators, but that's it. I wouldn't be afraid to add more characters as side characters. The game would be more fun right away. I would also like to mark different places on the map where I know there is something, but I can't do that right now. What bothered me the most at the beginning of the game was that you had one given direction of gameplay. For example, when you had a choice between two paths, one of them didn't lead anywhere, so you had to choose the second path anyway. It would be really good to have more paths to choose from at one time, and each one would have its own dungeon. I don't know if it's me, but the boss in chains and the knight took me several hours to beat. Maybe it wouldn't be bad to make it a little easier. The currency is original. I didn't expect it to fly at all. I liked that, but without the magnet ability it would be pain and suffering. I was very interested in the fact that I could see myself on the map right from the start. At least I didn't get lost. Deviator's corpse is 2 hits and doesn't move. A great idea for me. In Hollow Knight, it attacked you, so it was a total obstacle. Putting Psy on jellyfish is great. I used it many times. The abilities or runes are good. Especially the one that collects Psy for you, the in-game currency. On March 23, 2025, when I finished the game, the game is not yet fully completed. You can find signs with a red cross on the map, where you can't go any further. I didn't understand what it was about. I thought I had to find something or something, but after killing the knight guarding the entrance to the palace, I found out that the game was still in development. I appreciate the ability to teleport from one jellyfish to another. It saves a lot of time. For a while, I was afraid that there wouldn't be any secret passages behind the stone wall in this game, but fortunately there are and there are not many of them.
The game has potential.
Personally, I enjoy it, but it's missing something. Probably the most likely option to have more possible directions that would lead to more dungeons. There was once such an option. Once... But I guess it depends if you go from the bottom or the top. I have 22 hours of gameplay recorded, but a lot of that time was taken up by bosses. I guess I'm just not used to these types of games.
My overall rating is 8/10.
Hopefully the full version will come out eventually.
