I respect the style, I thought it looked fun. The controls are very minimal, no motion inputs, and it's got a guard button. Look, I love screwing around with fighting games and not being good at any of them, but it's satisfying to push buttons and have cool stuff happen. I almost felt it when the vampire guy uses a Stand in his air special, but everything else is so awkward and stiff. The audio lacks impact of combat. I wanted to like it.

An interesting fighting game that I can wholeheartedly recommend to try. Since it is a 2+1 button fighter the execution is beginner friendly but it is not dumb. You can still be creative and create your own combos for example. Things I like:

Style - I know this is subjective but for me this is appealing
Music - I love the music. It fits this latin american theme
Combo system - It is so easy to create practical combos
Challenges - Always a good thing to add
Still gets updates - The most recent character when I write this is less than 2 months old
It feels good to fight - It is really hard to explain it better. Unfortunately, some games fails at this very basic step.
Things I think can be better:

Menu/UI - E.g.: Pressing up on the top of the menu doesn't go to the bottom. From Challenges you cannot go back to character select, you need to go back to the main menu 1st etc. Small things
Can't select/skip a combo in combo challenges
Demos would be nice in challenges
I'm a filthy casual when it comes to fighters and I've just scratched the surface here, but this seems like a pretty good time. Granted, the game is still kinda barebones in terms of modes, and a few of the animations are a bit janky here and there--mostly stuff that won't matter too much for gameplay, like the awkward backwards pounce of Eda & Yolanda or the occasional KO that finishes on a launcher that leads to the fallen fighter flying offscreen way above the stage, only to slowly fall back down. Overall, though? Gameplay feels really solid in spite of the simple control scheme. The direction+input works as well here as it does in something like Smash, while charging your specials up offers a slightly new dimension for it. The simple, universal controls also makes it highly accessible, and it took me very little time to start to get comfortable with each of the different characters. In spite of that, the fighters generally feel pretty distinct in actual play, and most of them have a lot of personality between their animations, win quotes, and the recent story mode additions. I'd actually love to see a little more of the lore here, as the characters are a lot of fun. The 50s Mexican horror/luchador aesthetic really shines. While music's always a bit more personal taste, I also really like the soundtrack here, it really contributes to the atmosphere, and I find the tracks are generally well matched to the characters. And since the devs seem to still be actively at work on improving the game even a year after release, I have high hopes that all this will get even better over time.

I remember seeing this game on tik tok and it got my attention but never got the name of it. Bought it as soon as I saw it and what a great game. Not only is the aesthetic is great but the gameplay is really fun. Character designs are probably one of the best. As someone who always loved lucha libre and goth culture this game just hit right on the spot. My only negative would be on turning the black and white filter off as an optional thing to appreciate more the characters and stages. Overall totally beating this game with all the characters

This is a very simple 2 action button fighting game, with a guard and taunt button also. It has a surprising amount of combat depth, as it uses tilt controls in a manner similar to smash brothers. You can charge most special moves. The characters are all very well designed and unique; the theme and tone of the game is outstanding and also sets itself apart from many other titles. Everything feels impactful and fluid honestly, even with the slight jank it has at times. There are a lot of issues I can point out, but overall I really do recommend the game despite these things. These issues I feel could be improved on are: -The characters locked behind owning games is a massive nono, especially in a fighting game of all things. EDIT: This apparently is not the case now, they can be unlocked via in-game story mode completions. This is good. -The screen effects, like black and white and such are stage decided. There really should be an option setting to toggle between stage dependent, colour all the time, or black and white. This actually leads into the next issue.... -Lack of options. You have very little, you can adjust volume and change controls, that is basically it. You are stuck at whatever resolution it runs and so on. -Some sound effects are way louder than others. It's rather jarring and it makes it hard to set a comfortable volume. I noticed this most of all with the Evangeline character. -Online requires port forwarding, is incredibly laggy even with same continent connection, and will disconnect you randomly no matter the connection strength. You can usually get 1 - 3 matches before a disconnect however. -Some rough bugs. Overlay gets stuck on host's screen, forcing them to restart the whole game before hosting again for example. There are a few balance issues, namely some big ones the robot is absolutely busted but overall aside from the above listed issues it's still incredibly fun and worth grabbing during a sale; more so if you are able to do local coop instead of having to use online like me.

This is not a GOOD fighting game, but it is a FUNNY fighting game. I want you to imagine Fantasy Strike, but if that game actually had an aesthetic and vibe. The look and characters of an El Santo monster movie carry along a 3 button mega basic ass fighting game with jank abound. There's story modes for each character, 2 unlockable fighters, a barebones training mode, bad netcode, a combo trial that barely works...but there's also giant robots, demon luchadoras, vampires, werewolves. Funny visuals, goofy hitboxes, glitches abound. Great for a fun night with the boys. Not a good game, but a fun game, and the developer seems to be still working on it a year on so there's always a chance on a long enough timeline it gets better.
