An oldie but goodie.
The story narrated has a good balance of heroism and tragedy. I liked how they depicted the West as this dangerous place where even the good guys can do bad things.
The map is reasonably large and there is a lot of stuff to do, with a good variety too. The graphic has dated a bit, but I still find it beautiful, and I have to congratulate who animated the horse's run; when you flawlessly navigate a canyon at maximum speed, with its narrow turns, it feels amazing.
The shooting is competent and there are plenty of weapons to choose from; you will be forced to swap often because the ammo is scarce, aside for the pistol who has infinite reloads. The slow-motion that you can use is OP up close, but balanced thanks to its short range.
With a campaign of below 5 hours, I would say GUN it's a nice title that can be completed in a couple of sittings, leaving the PC satisfied of having experienced a piece of videogame's history.

I got this game when it came out on xbox 360. The original cowboy western game! Got this on steam and there was a learning curve to learning the controls on the keyboard and mouse. Game crashes from time to time so be sure you save your game on the regular. I got to 100% completion after completing the final mission the game just freezes every single time. A bit of a let down but I would still recommend the story. As everyone else in the comments was saying yes this was the RDR of the day. I would rate this game a 3/5 mostly because of the crashing and having to relaunch the game multiple times to get it to work.

Played this on Gamecube. Got it for the computer, but I couldn't use a controller. I didn't realize how many times I replayed this game until, as I was watching the cutscenes, I knew every line. It WAS a good game, but for me, I would prefer to use a controller.

I love red dead revolver as much as the next person, but Gun holds a certain je ne sais quoi. A western if there ever was one, I can't recommend this game enough.

I wanna start off my review with my love of the wild west and westerns in general. My love for the western genre began with tv westerns but when i was handed a copy of Gun as a child i played it till i wore the disc down. This game walked so red dead could run. Not excluding my love for revolver neither because it holds a special place in my heart too.
Gameplay on pc is okay. A little jittery but plays fine. I recommend this game just for the story and gameplay alone.

This game walked so Arthur Morgan could tragically gallop, before Red Dead made horseback existentialism cool. Desperately needs a remaster.
