This is Utter Garbage. Twice in 2 Days I Have Set Out from Port on a War Patrol..On Both Occasions I Got Past the Aircraft Carrier Outside The Harbour,then Attempted to Set a Course to Patrol Area & Got a Message I Had Run Aground,only To Find Sub was Back in Harbour & on Top of Sea Wall..Will Have to Uninstall as it is Unplayable..

No voice sounds. Most of the SFX are missing. No TDC. Ships are hit but show no damage other than impact till they suddenly, surprise explode/sink. Shortcut keys are hidden, and you can't even rebind (or find) them. The game is little more than a demo right now. It could, however... be great someday. I cautiously suggest you get it when it is VERY cheap to save in your library for later when/IF it becomes something.

Fun easy to play game. If you just want to jump in and have fun this is a good game for that. I have seen other simulations are much more involved which some like but if you are looking for light arcade action this is it.

I am getting hell old. Played silent service back in the old dos games era. Then Silent Hunter 2 a great game . Then Silent Hunter 3 the best of the lot outstanding , Submarine games are not a popular gender . Many developers dont take them on . This game is like Silent Service . Less Simulation of a Submarine . But more on tactics . Its in development and can only get better. Its fun to play. Yeah it plays out strange at times . But the promise of a really enjoyable game are there. full marks to the Developer taking this on .

I love strategic sims and especially those with subs. I loved SS from MicroProse back in the beginning of (graphic computers) time. And only after a couple of hours playing this, well sequel for ‘modern times’ I suppose, it really lacs the superb, modern graphics, ingenuity and, well everything it can and should have nowadays.
This being said, I am still happy that there finally becomes a sequel to Silent Service. It is only regrettable that this new program is brought actually too soon. It should have been more developed before it was launched. Even early. But I will hope that the programmer(s) have an income now and continue to make a fantastic game for us to enjoy! But please, keep the updates coming and don’t take more than a month each time to inform us about your progress.
